I didn’t go out today. Tomorrow would be the birthday of my
Darling daughter , brought back so many very happy memories but much sadness too.

I think you are very knacky and good with your hands as you have shown lovely things you have made here. It is possible to make a St Brigid's Cross out of reeds or rushes and l looked it up on YouTube . If you Google Big Green Art - how to make a Bridget 's cross - you just might find that useful. Am trying to figure out myself is there any other material than rushes that one could use as l am knacky myself.
They make lovely steel or iron ones too over the Internet and you might be able to order one. What would St Brigid think of the Internet. Having a smile on that one. Even just looking it up is interesting.

Hope you have enjoyed your afternoon with your granddaughter Annie. They are such a joy, aren't they, mine rang this morning to ask how I was doing. I have just sent a parcel with bits and bobs in it for her.
I had a walk in the woods this afternoon, the birds were singing and very busy, nature has a way of soothing the mind.

I've been off work today and yesterday, with a cold, aches all over, hot/cold/shivering, sore throat and headache. I hate being off sick as I feel I'm letting people down - I work as a Warden for a sheltered housing scheme - and I don't get paid when I'm off. I hope I'll feel OK to go to work tomorrow.

Annie I was so pleased to hear your granddaughter was visiting you today. I am sure that just made your day or week.

Annie I agree nature has a way of soothing, I love swimming in the sea so close to nature. Walk in the garden hear the birds running water trees rustling the smells list goes on, on the ship at sea, at night the stars are so amazing.

Yes I love nature too. I saw my first daffodils growing the other day. I love daffs. So bright and cheerful.
We have a park near where we live that has a big bed of daffodils of all kinds and sizes. I love them. Some are so tiny they are like miniature flowers only about 2” in height so dainty and delicate. When they all come into bloom I will try and remember to take a photo and post it on here.

Anniebach....I'm still snotty. sneezing and coughing, but I hope to go back to work tomorrow. I've never been in a job that pays sick pay. My husband is the same, doesn't get paid when he's off.
