I would of loved to have everyone around for Apple crumble and the best egg sandwiches and a big pot of tea and everyone sitting around my Kitchen table and chatting away but that is only a pipe dream. But I am imagining it and seeing it in my mind's eye.

At the risk of more boring you all, just had a thought about the
Cistus, also known as Rock Rose, through summer, every evening the beautiful little petals fall to the ground, next morning ? It’s in full bloom again,

Isn’t nature wonderful ?

You are an example to us all annie and we will get through this because we have to. I think panic can get a grip if it’s allowed to. How lovely your shrub is growing again. A good positive for today. ?

Doodle yes I am use to being alone, the only person who comes here is my younger granddaughter. I come from a large
extended Welsh family, and I do mean large !

I tell this because I want everyone to know if I can accept
isolation you all can, even if now you think you can’t, the choice wasn’t mine, and if anyone has to self isolate it isn’t
your choice but it will pass.

I think it’s telling yourself what you have to accept because
you have no choice, and finding the courage to change because you have a choice. ‘The Serenity Prayer’.

I accept the arthritis, I will not accept the agoraphobia.

My positive today , my darling daughter bought me a Cistus
Shrub about a year before she died, come winter I fear it may
not survive, today I saw new shoots. It lives .

Hi all you lovely people. How are you coping? Think we should have all gone to Dawn's for that crumble and had a great chat and a laugh. Wouldn't that have been great....well, perhaps not for poor Dawn (suddenly running a café .)
Well today was strange. Rushed out to the beach with the dogs and whilst walking received a text from the French President (how odd is that?) telling us (and everybody else) that we have to complete an online form giving one of 5 reasons why we are allowed out of the house. (We'll be fined otherwise). Fortunately one of the reasons is "to walk our animal companions" - but this has to be done close to home and there's no racing around on the beach allowed in case someone foolish stops to speak to someone they meet! It's so serious now that we just have to pay attention. So, tomorrow I intend to get up and organise my indoor day properly - today I just felt rather emotional and so was forced to eat 3 delicious English sausages at lunchtime and drink far too much tea and coffee . I'm really tired tonight - think it's because all this is completely outside my comfort zone. Of course it's outside everyone's comfort zone and we want it to go away pretty damn soon. Keep safe lovely ladies, don't be sad, we can do this. Nighty night all. x

I can not believe Disney in Florida has closed down, how lucky were we to go when we did. I feel so sad for all that have had to cancel.. not only Disney but everyone that has had to cancel there plans.. I was at the back of a young woman at the till in Aldi, she had a new baby with her, she had got 5 packs of baby wipes, they took one off her she was only allowed 4 she apologised for having one two many.. only then to say she had been every where for baby milk and could not find any at all, then someone put a photo on FB of a woman in Asda with the conveyor belt full from one end to the other with baby milk how sad it that.. what are Asda thinking ..

Such a worrying time for us all.. I just wondered where and when it will all end, need to stay positive it will end..

Hello annie I’m sort of stoic here. There is nothing we can do except follow the guidelines. I was thinking about you now that we all have to self isolate. This is something you are used to, being alone a lot of the time. Despite that, you always have a cheery word and support for others so I think we all need to take a leaf out of your book and do our best to stay positive and support each other. I saw a lovely area of daffodils today. So sunny and beautiful. Such a simple flower yet so bright can’t cheerful. I will try and be a daffodil person ? ( well not sure about beautiful but I will try and be sunny ?)

Happy St. Patrick's day everyone. Hopefully he can be put on the list and he might help us look after the world. Every thing helps.
My good thing that happened today is that l made a lovely apple crumble for lunch in order to help celebrate the day and to put some structure and focus on a changing world.

Lavenderzen I am not bad today sun is very hazy, still nice out in garden..stay strong lavender sending hugs.. i am so very worried as are many, but this is a added one.. just waiting for some news hope it helps.. hopefully let you all know next week...

Oh Nonnie what a pain, hope they arrive this morning and sort things out for you. Thinking of you.
Joce hope you are alright. No sun here for today, hope you have some, and can think back to your wonderful holiday in Florida.

Trying to think of a positive today, feel anxious so its a struggle, I know one - I am going to make some mushroom soup shortly for my lunch and I have some scones in, I may even have an ice cream .

Hope you all slept well and thanks for all the positive messages.

Our Internet has been going off and on and went off completely last night. We tried everything but the box itself wasn't working so I called Virgin and did the hanging on and on until eventually I spoke to someone well trained in saying nothing we can do until Wednesday at least. It took me some time to explain that our heating works by Internet, we are 'elderly' and in lockdown and needed access to the outside world. Didn't work so I asked to speak to her manager. Left on hold for ages but resulted in an appointment this morning. Now need to make sure they don't touch anything and sanitise afterwards. Taking it all quite seriously now as DH has breathing issue.

DS2 has significantly stepped up the photos and videos of GC and also the video calls. DS3 keeps popping stuff we haven't asked for round and then standing away from the door and talking to us. We are very lucky to have such a supportive family.

Hope those of you who are avoiding 'social contact' are OK and have the support you need.

Just going to sleep. Early start tomorrow. We shall go to the beach in the sunshine with the dogs before starting our enforced isolation (15 days) for every resident young or old, which the President announced this evening. Spent the day messaging friends in Europe and in England - trying to make sense of what is happening in the world. Hope you have recovered from your fall Lavenderzen, it's so lovely to laugh, isn't it Joce. Don't stop doing it! Please feel better Nonnie and Dawn and stronger tomorrow. And don't let anyone spoil your plans, Annie - you choose your seat in the sun and seize the chance to chat to good neighbours without a bad neighbour trying to spoil that. Sounds as if you have some good people in. your Close who will be understanding and supportive. You need to take every advantage of that. Hope your GD's visit was fun. Onwards and upwards for tomorrow, nighty night everyone. x

Glad you managed to find some paracetamol Doodle that is definitely a positive. I have some in but the shelves in Tescos were empty yesterday.

One nice thing today. A friend who has school children has posted on fb today that if schools close she will be more than happy to feed any child who needs their school meal. We need more people like this. I wonder if being a Sikh colours her thinking?
