I posted this afternoon, fell asleep,didn’t click post message.
Am very stressed , concerned for my younger daughter.

Sally welcome, this thread for anyone who is troubled as
SalsaQueen explained.

You are fearful for your husband, Joce has asked if your
husband has health problems.

Your CPN is a nurse , last week I had a nurse call to take
blood tests, she washed her hands before and after the blood
test. Your CPN will have been instructed on what to do and not
to do. The person calling for the assessment the same.

To help put your mind at rest a little, I understand how difficult bipolar can at times make thinking clearly difficult.

I am sure these two people will have been checked.

Do share here, always several of us post here every day.

Joce I have no idea if my liver function is high or low, they said it was within the limits so no need for treatment.

My husband has more health problems than would fit on a large sheet of paper and he has blood cancer too. I think all of us are worried to some extent by this virus but all we can do is take precautions like washing hands and perhaps not going to crowded spaces. Even if we catch the virus it does not mean we will all be seriously ill. Just take a deep breath and calm sally. We are all in the same boat and need to try and stay calm.

annie can you tell us why you are concerned for your younger daughter. Don’t say if it’s private but I hope she is ok.

Doodle yes I would like to share. My younger daughter
telephoned me Sunday, she hasn’t had a period for about 18
months, 3 weeks ago she had blood spot. Last Sunday she was
bleeding and felt she was having a period. She googled , grrrr,
we talked for some hours, her husband is abroad so she is alone. She contacted her GP Monday morning, he said he would refer her, she said she would go privately to speed things up, she has an appointment this Friday. She was convinced she has cancer.

She went through 14 IVF treatments, she contacted the clinic
and they sent her all the notes of her treatment. This has made
things more complicated. During the treatment the lining of
her womb was thin so they put her into the menopause for a couple of months, I didn’t know this.

One reason for bleeding after the menopause is thinning of the lining, I checked with NHS, she also had polyps when having treatment , another reason for bleeding,

What I find strange is there was 3 weeks between the first and
second spotting and she use to often have periods every 3 weeks.

Sorry such a long post but I haven’t had anyone to talk to about it,

Annie hope your daughter Is ok . Sorrry I didn’t explain liver function, mine is always high for a good few years now Doc never say any thing to me so it doesn’t worry me .. that’s a good one for me, ( I don’t worry about something to to with my health.) even I had to smile at what I have wrote down Annie

Annie, so sad you have more worry but try not to fret, and it'll hopefully all be worked out on Friday. Your Daughter has been so sensible to face her fears and actively get rapid appointment. You're strong enough for your Daughter, and so strong and calm on here, save some of that wonderful kindness and reassurance for yourself!! It's important now. Wait to be worried when you are told there's something to be worried about - that should be a plan!! Sally, welcome and try to keep calm. This lates virus does feel like something so powerful and it is sometimes scary to read the papers and listen to the news, but try to think you're not dealing with this alone, we are all in this together. Take good care of yourself and your family and if you're feeling really overwhelmed, stay indoors until you at least feel a bit better and the world looks a bit brighter. annie I understand now why you are worried but post menopausal bleeding can be due to several things. Obviously if anything happens to us we always think of the worst scenario. The key point is that whatever it is she is seeing someone quickly. Hopefully it will be nothing at all. Your daughter has the sense to get in touch with the GP straight away and is going to be seen soon which is good. Try not to worry. I pray all will be well for her.x

So sorry to hear about your younger daughter. Both you and she must be very worried. It sounds as if she is now post menopausal, but try to remember that sometimes in early menopause people have spotting. It’s just such a lot to cope with after all her IVF treatments.

Hell Annie so sorry to hear about your worries regarding your youngest daughter. I also wonder if it is something to do with the menopause. The sooner your daughter sees the specialist the better, the knowledge will help you both.

Sally welcome to our group. Your fears may be unfounded but that won't stop you feeling them. I have no advice just understanding. I heard this morning that Tom Hanks (63) and his wife both have the virus but are feeling quite well. I don't think we are told enough about how mild it can be so that we can balance that against what else we are told.

annie your daughter is lucky that she can talk to you about her issue, some can't. Of course you are worried, we all think we can 'make it better' for our children no matter how old they are but underneath we know we can't. I hope there is better news tomorrow or at the very least something she can do about it. She sounds a positive thinker to have gone through so many IVF treatments.

Hello Sally Glad you have decided to join us. Just gone back to your post and I can understand your worry and concerns. As Annie has said the professionals that are coming to your home (if that is the arrangement) will have been instructed to wash their hands, and you must be proactive in this and ask them to do so if they don't.
You have to have the appointment with the CPN and the follow up with regards to the PIP and you will get through this, just take one thing at a time. When we are worriers, we tend to let things crowd into our minds and we feel unable to cope. You are going to be able to do this Sally your CPN interview first and then the PIP interview, one step at a time. We are all here for you willing you on and sending you love and support xx

That's what we are here for annie a safe space for us to say what we need to say whilst knowing we have support whatever it is. Please update us when you know more.

With everything I am having to deal with I notice that my own priorities have changed a lot, I'm really not concerned about the Labour leadership election, Covid 19 or much else in the news, all seems like stuff I have no influence over.

Anniebach We still worry about our children, even though they're mature. I hope your daughter gets on alright. She's getting seen quickly, so that's good.

How is everyone today?

I've been ridiculously busy today, but my brother and his wife are coming for dinner later, so that will be nice. We text most days, so keep in touch, but I haven't seen them since before Christmas. I've got a chicken casserole in the slow-cooker, some dumplings and mashed potatoes to cook later.

annie it’s not surprising you are worried about your daughter. That’s part of what we all are isn’t it. Always worrying about our children and grandchildren no matter how old they are. Hope your daughter gets on ok tomorrow.

It's been an odd day today for me somehow, I feel anxious, I don't think all this news is helpful, I keep hoping my daughter and granddaughter are looking after themselves. I wish they were nearer.

Annie I feel for you and your daughter. My own daughter has ‘lady problems’ and she copes so well. I really admire her. As been said we all know that we worry about our children, grandchildren no matter what age.
Your daughter has been through so much and I reckon she gets her strength from you. This strength will see her through the paths she faces. It does sound very much like menopause or post menopause symptoms. I am crossing my fingers and will say a little prayer for your granddaughter and one for you too.
Keep strong Annie. It’s hard but you can do it.

It was helpful to share. Curled up on the sofa watching Larkrise to Candleford and phone rings, ‘ Mum I have cancer,
it brought back the memories of the shock of my elder daughter’s death, that phone call, and the knock on the door
when my husband was killed, all flooded in. I will be thankful
when her husband returns home next week, I have guilt that
I couldn’t go to her too.

Anyway enough about me.
