annie hope it’s not presumptuous of me to start the thread but I appear to have closed the last one and didn’t want to leave anyone with no where to go.
Welcome all x

Anniebach Sat 08-Feb-20 22:17:47

Joce had x rays ,decided not to have surgery , too many
problems, I will manage x

Doodle I will delay using a wheelchair indoors for as long as I can. It’s a very small bungalow, one bedroom, kitchen leads off living room , I don’t have to do any baking, have liquid
replacement meals, younger granddaughter does this I can’t
do, both my hands are badly twisted, if they could do finger
replacements I would certainly want that, I miss cross stitching
so much , but they don’t so have to put up with it, I manage ok

Joce345 Sat 08-Feb-20 21:49:02

Aww sorry Annie sound very painful, did you not go to hospital with it Annie?

Doodle Sat 08-Feb-20 21:29:02

annie sorry you and David are gloomy. I imagine it’s the results of the Ireland vs Wales rugby that are causing this. My cousin who is a massive rugby fan and very very Welsh will not be happy either.
Your knee sounds very painful annie. Would you be able to use the wheelchair indoors too? Might be an idea as walking is so hard for you.
Hello to everyone else. Hope you are all ok. x

Anniebach Sat 08-Feb-20 21:21:16

Joce not the agoraphobia, severe arthritis, knee badly twisted , and hip affected. Trying to decide if I should try an electric

Joce345. Is it anything in particular that's making you feel low at the moment? Or just one of those days? Those of us on here who have Depression know what you mean, and I hope you soon feel brighter x

Anniebach How's your day been? x

Doodle Glad you've had some good news x

* rafichagran* Sciatica is terribly painful - I first had it after the birth of my eldest son, 38yrs ago. Have you been given any Physiotherapy exercises do to? I hope you manage to get some different medication sorted out with your GP x

Everyone hope you all have a restful night

Hi all. Annie I love daffodils too. I have a lovely vase full of them on my hall table.
Weather here is awful and to get a lot worse with very, very, strong winds and rain so I did a big grocery shop today just incase I don’t manage out.
Joce I think it’s only natural you are feeling the way you are. Just think you have had all the disappointment of will manage to go (because of the room being booked). Then yes you can and not sure if it’s really going to happen.
So try not to let the way you feel get you down try accept and let it go (I know that’s easier said than done). Once you are there try to have a wee bit of Joce time for the first day or two in order to recharge your battery. It is going to be fab and remember to say Hi to Snow White for me.
I have been in Disneyworld twice and I was so excited that I had tears running down my face when I saw Cinderella’s castle. It really is magical and I would love to go back(not at moment as have some issues).
Doodle that is great news from you so happy for you.
Rafichagran Sciatica is such a painful thing so make sure you get the correct meds to take the edge of your pain.
I’ve had a couple of little what if days due to family problems that I am dealing with.
Oh for some nice sunny weather.
Take care all. Xxx

Anniebach Fri 07-Feb-20 21:28:50

rafichafran

Sciatica is so painful and pain causes us to be moody and anxious. It’s best to see the GP, I have problems with pain relief, have an ulcer and IBS and medication causes problems
for me. Do let us know how you get on.

Do you plonk a bag of frozen peas on the sciatic nerve ? I do. x

Anniebach Fri 07-Feb-20 21:22:53

Doodle wonderful news, thank you so much for sharing it, x

Joce is there a reason that you feel low or is it a visit from
Black Dog ? x

rafichagran Fri 07-Feb-20 21:20:34

It's very good to hear your news Doodle, you Annie and other have always given me sensible advice.
Sciatica proving troublesome today and making me a bit moody and anxious. I am going to make a Doctors appointment as the meds I have been given for the above gives me a bad stomuch and headache.
Hope everyone is feeling better.

Doodle Fri 07-Feb-20 21:12:10

Hi annie and all. Hope everyone is ok.
Today we had a bit of good news. Something that has been troubling for my DGS and his family has finally been resolved. A lightening of one burden anyway. Just thought I would share with you annie and others who have been there for us. x

Joce345 Fri 07-Feb-20 20:19:28

Annie it’s been warm hear, getting in practice for Florida haha.
I have been really down for the last couple of days, trying very hard to stay on top of it.. the sun does help.

Anniebach Fri 07-Feb-20 18:48:09

How are you Annie

Hope every one a doing ok ....

SalsaQueen Fri 07-Feb-20 13:57:46

Well, I went to work today, despite being quite snotty and coughing. The elderly residents (27 of them) were pleased to have me back, then to tell me about their own various ailments/complaints/general moans....I'm happy to listen and help grin.

It's a lovely sunny afternoon with a blue sky smile.

How are you all?

Joce345 Thu 06-Feb-20 20:26:01

Hi all SalsaQueen hope you feel better soon
Daffodils are really lovely flowers Doodle the very small one are beautiful little things

Doodle Thu 06-Feb-20 18:39:43

annie I love the idea of you and David watching the rugby together. grin
My dad’s birthday was St David’s day. Being Welsh made it easy to remember.

Anniebach Thu 06-Feb-20 17:45:28

Forgot to mention ‘David The Daffodil’ he is sitting on the back of my sofa, a large felt Daffodil which watches the
Six Nations with me every year, he is looking rather battered now, too many hugs ?

Anniebach Thu 06-Feb-20 17:41:30

Hi all x

SalsaQueen. I was hoping you would be feeling better
today x..

Doodle daffodils are so beautiful, When a child we use to walk to a field where there were wild daffodils, so tiny.
Easy to understand why Wordsworth wrote
‘I Wandered Lonely As A Cloud ‘,

speaking of nature here
yesterday it came to Mind when I settled to sleep last night, fell asleep saying the poem
