Hi all x
I was so amused this morning, I had decided not to post poems to often, listening to ‘Today’ on radio 4 they said many were reading poetry now so they will have one of their reporters read one on air every day, !
Dawn I read your thread , you seem very positive, great to
know this.x
lavender so sorry you are depressed, the world is in turmoil
and causing much anxiety and depression, we are all here for
each other, hope you feel lighter today,x

Doodle Be Still My Soul’ is lovely x
Hi all, not much to say. Sorry to read you are downlavender hope you feel better soon.
Doodle don't know if you are aware but you can get daily readings sent to your inbox for URC and C o E, probably others too. They both do online Sunday services and our local C o E does them too.
I'm also baking, childhood comfort food. Rock cakes in the oven now. I leave them in the porch for DS/Dil to collect. When the cayenne pepper comes in my supermarket delivery it will be cheese scones and next week hot cross buns.
I'm feeling sort of OK, so coping. Hope you can all do the same.
Morning all.
Lavender hope you are feeling better today.

In the here; In the now.
I am solid; l am free

Take care everyone.

Wishing you all a peaceful night sleep ?
Hugs joce ?
lavender sorry you are feeling down today. Has something happened that’s upset you or is it just the situation we all find ourselves in at the moment?
annie that’s another nice poem.
I listened to the Church service on the radio today. Lovely song, Be still my soul. Not heard that before.
joce scones always welcome in my house. DH loves them ?
Sleep well all x
Just wanted to wish everyone a peaceful night. I am very depressed today (fortunately my roof isn't falling in). Anyway thank you for your support in the past. Take care xx
I posted that poem because I thought it related to the anxiety
which we all battle with, panic attacks etc. Not the fear we would feel if the roof started to fall in but the fear of anxiety
symptoms .
I am going to work tommorow as now considered a key worker. That poem Annie has given me something to think about. Anxiety bad, but keeping depression at bay at the moment.
I still feel guilty if I am not doing something all the time, because I feel I should keep myself occupied. At work I am busy. I think I am obsessing to much about things like wardrobe and cupboard cleaning.
Please keep well everyone.
Hello everyone
The poem is lovely Annie and just what I need to read today.
Take care all xx
Hi Annie how are you doing today.. I just made scones not made them for years.. now I’m wondering why lovely.
Hope everyone is well and having a peaceful day.
Don’t be afraid of fear
Because fear is afraid of itself
You give into fear when you doubt yourself
Fear makes you a complete opposite of yourself
Draining every bit of confidence your body has left
Fear tricks you of your potential
Wiping away your credentials
A life ruled by fear is life without hope
Of course people are going to have raining days
But with fear, everyday you will have your droughts
Be confident and put your head up high
How can fear overtake you when you’re looking at the
Beautiful clouds high in the sky
Hi all x
How is everyone coping with anxiety and depression?
We are here for each other, we all understand and care , we must post as often as we need to , reach out to each other x
Thank you Doodle will look at that.. I like Pam Ayers. I like your quote what God thinks of money !!
Good night all sleep ? well God bless x
Perseverance is the key joce my first few attempts were awful. There is a video on YouTube by Edyta Sitar called binding a quilt. You could try that or one of the other videos. It’s worth trying it on a smaller square first. Once you get the hang of it it’s easy but it’s hard to get your head around to begin with. Let me know how you get on.
flutterby so glad you liked the Pam Ayers poem. It’s one of my favourites.
annie I really like that quote. I found another this afternoon which I quite liked
“If you want to know what God thinks of money, look who he gave it too”. That made me smile.
Sleep well all x
Doodle it’s the first time I have tried quilting,
Doodle yes it the binding, machine sewing but will do anyway
Just for some reason cannot get it right ..
Let’s have a Dorothy Parker quote ? Please don’t try to compete with it
‘I like to have a martini, two at the very most.
After three I am under the table,
After four I’m under the host .
gossamer what a relief about your daughter. No wonder you were worried.
annie I looked up Dorothy Parker after you mentioned her and I can well see why you like her. Those quotes are wonderful. I had a good laugh. Re Poldark, I was like you. I loved the first one and couldn’t believe anyone could take over the role of Demelza. If you can find the original, that would be great but I did end up watching the new series and found I came to warm to her after a while.
joce what is your problem with corners in your quilting? Are you talking about binding your finished quilt? Are you hand sewing or machine sewing?
Hope everyone is ok. x
Hi all.
Doodle I listened to that husband poem by Pam Ayers it was fab. Thanks for sharing that with us.
Weather been bit better here today so spent a few hours working in the garden. It does help to be outside and I feel so lucky to have a garden wish I could share it with those who don’t have one.
I must say a few of you are accepting and dealing with the situation as it comes. I admire you and you are correct we can only abide by the rules. I think when you hear of people in your district becoming ill it does give you a bit of a scare.
Annie I am a fan of Poldark and I agree with what you said about the original Demelza she was perfect for the part. I did grow to like the new girl but not as much as original.
Might have a wee look at the first series and reminisce. I have been doing that with listening to Tony Blackbur sounds of the sixties on the radio.
Hope you enjoyed your scones Nonnie. I am just going to have a cuppa and a scone right now.
Take care and stay safe lovely people.
xx
