Looks like he scratched it over clothing and only found it later when undressing

The skin looks very dry to me. As we get older our skin thins and damages easily. I think I might show it to the practice nurse as it looks quite delicate and could extend if the skin is very friable. Also she can give advise/prescription for appropriate moisturising cream.

But what it looks like wouldn’t involve ‘no pain’ a burn or friction burn would both be painful
Its red around it so could be an infection starting I d keep a close eye and if it starts to get worse see the GP

Sorry, didn't bother him .

May be a slight burn a few days ago, that didn't bother you until the skin has come off.

It looks like a graze/friction burn type injury, to me.

Dh has just undressed and seen this on his arm. He doesn't remember hitting his arm, it is flat and painless, and it wasn't there this morning. Any ideas?
