Context is everything. With no context, the tweet is irrelevant. Easy to twist every darn thing. Can no one imagine chatting with family and coming up with something similar? Laughing and moving on? I've got better things to be thinking about. Like why I have no icing sugar and have a one year olds birthday cake to finish by 3pm......

B & M have some very cheap ready mixed buttercream frosting in various flavours, GrannyLaine. And fondant icing in many colours, though that's not to everyone's taste.

Yes , black humour can be great, and helps in relieving the stress of difficult situations, but there is a time and a place for these things, and perhaps someone who is Prime Minister, while working, should avoid it.

It's the kind of throwaway black joke lots of men might make (more than women) but he should be aware there's a time and a place. However, just because it's written doesn't make it true, and there are a lot of people who want to make him look bad.

One would be more prepared to ignore it if he didn't have 'history' when it comes to insensitive, tactless remarks.

...quite frankly, at this moment in time, my sense of humour has deserted me. And I don't want a comedian leading the country.

This comment( which is not bring denied) was in the course of a formal meeting ( albeit remote) in his role as PM and discussing a serious issue - how to save more lives of UK citizens. I’m amazed that anyone would defend it.
