It was an interesting read. Don't know where she got the idea from that you're not allowed more than a certain distance outside your front door in Germany, where I live. We are perfectly able to do our 10000 steps, but we are lucky that we have fields and woods no further than about 200 yds from the house. The same rules apply as listed in the article - just keep your distance.
