So, I pulled my pants down........

Now, steady, this is not that sort of post! Although it might be a tad TMI for delicate GN members (Don your pearls ready for clutching now)

The back story, in the shower the other day, I became aware of some change in my (ahem) derriere , in that there was something there that wasn't there before confused

At first I thought it might be a stray bit of toilet paper blush, but no.

It felt like it could be a skin tag, but of course I couldn't see it. So, had to ask Mr P to take a look.

Once he had recovered from his swoon and put on his glasses, he had a look. (He's so brave)

He said it looked a bit red (I knew I had that shower too hot) so declined dabbing some of that skin tag removal stuff on it.

Apparently it's still looking a bit "angry" so some germolene has been applied. Himself then wondered if perhaps it was a mole? (Never had one there before, and as far as I know, they don't appear overnight, unless they are the sort that wreak havoc with your lawn. There is a local pest control chap that deals with those, but I don't feel inclined to bare my buttocks to him.)

So, phoned the surgery, who are doing telephone consultations. (Wouldn't usually bother with something so minor, but realise that skin changes like this should be checks out)

Telephone consultation booked for sometime tomorrow.

But they want me to email a photo of it! shock

With the best will in the world and a selfie stick (which I don't own) there is no way I can photograph at that angle!

So, I pulled my pants down.........

That’s a funny place to have an “article”. Does it move of it’s own volition? You haven’t been Wild Swimming in the local river and gained a leach!?

phoenix Sun 26-Apr-20 12:26:02

Ahem! The "article" is situated at the top of my bottom confused, in that it is on the right buttock and approximately 8 inches below my waist!

HTH.

"DOODLE" - loving your comments. Wind in the Willows WAS my favourite book at school. Now I won't be able to look at it without seeing, in my minds eye only, Phoenix arse!!

I'm ready for my close-up Mr De Mille.

Here’s a suggestion, Phoenix. Why don’t you FaceTime your posterior with Luckygirl and she can take a top-notch photo of your Little Problem?! grin

shock

Luckygirl Sat 25-Apr-20 20:42:34

I used to be a photographer for the last 10 years of my career - I could do it! I have been wanting to keep my hand in.......ah.....maybe I could have phrased that better.

A polyp? I like the word polyp. Nearly as much as exponential - which is very popular at the moment.

phoenix Sat 25-Apr-20 19:39:33

Hello all, just to be clear:

A) It is not a boil, spot or pimple.
B) Neither is it a pile (so much easier to spell than the "proper" word) as it is in completely the wrong place for that!
C) It is not in anyway sore or painful.

Thank you!

NfkDumpling Sat 25-Apr-20 19:08:13

Thank you Phoenix. Thank you all. Despite the sun, I was feeling quite down today. Shieldinglockdownitis.

Very apt name for this thread, Jaxie! grin

Jaxie Sat 25-Apr-20 16:43:46

I had a sore patch on my bottom cheek which healed with an application or two of Argon oil. I suspect I had put too much detergent in the wash and caused dermatitis.

Rufus2 Sat 25-Apr-20 04:22:40

The worst "pain in the arse" is human! grin

Doodle Fri 24-Apr-20 22:07:23

phoenix Fri 24-Apr-20 18:30:52

Damn, noticed a typo in the OP.

(Note to self, preview posts!)

phoenix Fri 24-Apr-20 16:52:04

Heck, not back! Grr.

phoenix Fri 24-Apr-20 16:51:07

Humph!

Not happy.

Was called by the receptionist (who sounds about 12) to say Dr. S. doesn't think it's anything to worry about, but get back in touch in a month's time with better photos, in focus, if it hasn't gone away!

Better photos! In focus! What the back do they want me to do, call in a professional photographer?

Yes, we do have a couple of those in the village, but even without social distancing I'm hardly likely to give them a call for this, "Oh, hello Jane, how are you? Now, I know you usually specialise in wildlife and landscape photography, but I was wondering if you might be able to get a few shots of my bottom. Hello, hello?"

" Lee, how's it going? I expect with weddings being cancelled, you've got a bit of time on your hands! Well, I now it's outside your usual remit, but I need a couple of close ups. No, not soft focus, yes, I know many brides prefer that............ "

sodapop
You cheeky monkey ??

grandtanteJE65 Fri 24-Apr-20 15:19:36

Phoenix, I do hope it is something completely harmless and that either goes away on its own, or just needs a application of ointment.

Re. embarrassment, any woman who has been to a gynaecologist has been through that hoop. I imagine we all still remember our first visit to a gynaecologist.

CrazyGranny60 Fri 24-Apr-20 14:30:39

hahahahahahaha, best post I've ever seen on here! you are a great story teller phoenix! Good luck!!!!

phoenix Fri 24-Apr-20 14:12:55

Phoenix when I was heavily pregnant with my second child I developed a vaginal boil ( now know they are pretty common but as a 20 year old pretty naive) . Thought I would mention it to midwife at my anti natal appointment and she would just have a look and give me some cream or whatever, next thing I knew was in a cubicle with my knickers round my ankles in comes a consultant and about 8 male students having a good poke round. Yes those were the days but thanks for a good laugh.Hope you and your husband both recover ?
