BCG and Covid-19 trial

I saw an article on the lunchtime news with a medic/scientist in Geneva (with others) is looking at the effect of the BCG (the vaccine many of us had as children against TB) re Covid-19. I thought it was very interesting. I had this as newborn as my mother had TB as well as being on hydroxychloroquine (another drug being trialled) for Lupus.
I imagine many of us had a BCG (Bacille-Calmette Guerin) so that's another ray of hope.

I saw this too, Teetime. They're also looking into the effects of oestrogen amongst many other things. That's because it seems to affect men more severely than women.

Sorry, I've only just seen your post, so rather tardy in responding. I think there have been one or two other threads along these lines though.

I hadn’t seen this but had heard previously they think there is some protection for older people if you have had the pneumonia jab ( I have) . I’m still not going anywhere except for short walks!
