Feeling 'S.A.D.' ?

Personally I’ve had enough. I can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel.

I am usually a very positive person and not a lot phased me I very rarely cry
But the last few days I am so down and fed up totally lost my mojo
But it's all down to the lockdown cancelled holidays and not much to look forward to
I said to my husband this morning if this had happened winter time would not have been so bothered we tend to hibernate Nov onwards and I really look forward to Spring and holidays ect so all a bit flat now

yggdrasil I, too, thought that SAD was a winter disorder due to lack of sunlight.



Life is not at all normal at the moment, Elizabeth so it is understandable. Perhaps you are avoiding being outside because of your hayfever, but it's good that it is under control so perhaps being outside may help. Although some antihistamines do not apparently cause drowsiness, I'm sure that they do! If I need them, I take them at night.

I have a SAD light which I use quite a bit in the winter. There is enough daylight at the moment not to need it

I never understand where the down days come from. I can be feeling fine then wake up one morning and feel anything but.

There never seems to be a reason so maybe it is related to food or allergens?

Getting over a trauma or illness will trigger these feelings.

It's a good idea to look for other causes, but I think a main one is the covid situation.
We push it to the back of our minds but it still niggles away at us.
Treat yourself gently and don't feel you should be keeping busy if you aren't really up to it.

Thank you *vangel perhaps the reason I’ve been tearful these last few days is due to having hayfever which I’ve never had before and don’t know too much about it. I’ve now got a prescription for antihistamine which has helped my breathing however I still feel tearful why do you think this is?
