As I mentioned on another thread I think I've got gastritis. Very occasionally I get a bad gnawing feeling in my stomach, especially in bed early hours of the morning, when my stomach must be empty. But I don't have indigestion or heartburn. It has happened a couple of times in the past year and then it resolves. I was going to have a stomach ultrasound for an unrelated matter, which so far hasn't materialised because of Covid. Already dreading the thought of a possible endoscopy. I haven't mentioned it to the GP so far because it is really very occasionally.

Best find out what's going on, if you leave it too long it might not be treatable. The Endoscopies don't take long, just get it done and grin an bear it!
Good Luck!

Could it be gall bladder related. I had similar pains at night and after a scan it was removed.

Thanks for your replies, will have to mention it to the GP and go from there.
