The tradition of blowing out Birthday Candles (now a no no)

Never ever even give a thought prior to Covid, but just been reading (sorry don't know how to do links) about the bacteria that could be spread or has been spread in the past when blowing out Birthday Cake Candles and spreading micro droplets all over the icing on the cake then of course cutting up the cake and people eating it. shock

Yet another thing to think about.

Apparently you can now but a perspex birthday cake cover that still lets you place the candles in but covers the cake.

I never did like candle blowing across a cake so I won't miss it.
