We quite like walking in the rain. Can’t really cycle though. We also swim, and that’s all open normally again. Splashing in puddles is a great idea, and why shouldn’t we?

Just put your old boots on and go out in the rain. Find a puddle, jump in, shout SPLASH. It will make you feel ten times better.

I do understand it is easy to feel down just now. You had a good day yesterday, another one will be along soon.

I just treated myself to a treadmill to hopefully get rid of some covid weight and get a little fitter.
I think about the good old days when i could see my family and friends, covid seems to have been around for longer than it really has.

I still try to get a walk even if it’s raining of course not if it’s heavy rain, and I do miss my walk then. Pre Covid I used to walk around shops to get some exercise under cover but not so keen now. Then social
media, TV, reading etc just to do something, I don’t normally socialise much so it’s not that much different for me. I’m lucky I still have DH to do nothing with as Tanith puts it, so still counting my blessings.

I’ve felt like that this morning too, it just goes on and on. I’ve hoovered, emptied dishwasher, am burning confidential papers in the garden after file clear out last week. I have some plants to repot, but it’s all too wet. I’ll feel better soon, it’s just mornings sometimes get me, I hope you will too.

Yes same here. I hate being inactive. I’ve done some housework and I’ll do some ironing, then this afternoon I shall read a book and watch either BBC iplayer or Netflix on my iPad. The time I spent on my iPad last week was up 18% on the week before!
I find Whats App quite reassuring too as all my friends feel the same way and I can chat to them.

I miss the comparative freedom we used to have, have missed out on three breaks away so far, also meeting up with friends. I did join my art club via Zoom and might do again this week. Life does feel 'artificial'. I've done so much baking (and eaten it) I'm putting on weight - roll on a reliable vaccine!!

I phone someone and have a yack or go into the garden and do some weeding. Also go for a walk but never if it is actually raining ( it doesn't rain here that much). Lots of plans to meet friends after the iso finishes but I think it might be after Christmas at this rate.

I put on my boots and rain coat and walk listening to gold radio, it lifts my mood no matter what the weather. I’ve done laundry today hoping to get it dry between showers and I’ve a book and some embroidery but I do sometime wander round the house wondering what to do. I miss coffee out too and Winter stretches before us when I’ll be missing even more just someone to sit and do nothing with. There are lots of us in the same boat.

Today i find i am really struggling with doing anything. I feel like i am on auto pilot. Taking my time doing house hold chores as there is no where to go, nothing to do and no one to meet due to the fear of covid. I, like others i guess am really missing my coffee mornings and with friends and all my other social activities. I did risk going to see some of my family yesterday which really lifted me and broke up the day but today it is so different. I hate feeling inactive and the thought of going for a walk in the wet is really not appealing. What do you do when you feel this way.
