DH - tried - to get a flu jab

Our GP surgery were exceptional on our flu jab day. There was a one way system - in through the Fire door at the end of the consulting room corridor and out the other fire door at the opposite end. This meant that all the available GP's and Nurses had a consulting room available to give the flu jabs with a clerk sat at the pc entering the patients details. Ok, so we were a bit "herded" but they got the job done. It was a brilliant concept, well managed, safe and quick!

During the past 6 months I've had to have 2 blood tests. When phoning the surgery for results I'm told my Dr is on holiday twice
When I asked why can't Dr ? look at my results I'm told only my Dr is dealing my results.
I live next door to a nurse. I hear too much information as to what is not happening at our local hospital ?

M0nica if your husband is eligible for a free flu vaccination he will not have to pay at the pharmacy, book first though.

We were going to go to the clinic run by our surgery to get our flu jabs. However, DH had to collect his prescription from the branch of Boots attached to the surgery and was told there that the clinics would be very busy.

He came home with the information about booking the jab at Boots, so I went straight online and made an appointment. We had our injections just over a week ago with no problems. A man came into Boots while we were waiting, hoping to get his jab without an appointment and was told that they only had sufficient vaccine for those who had booked.

I have always had flu jabs done at the surgery but wanted to get it done early and the surgery hadn’t given their dates so went to boots online and booked an appointment fir the following week. It all went well, no queue and I didn’t have to pay.
