Hi Davidhs .... I hadn't thought of that and I have never been tested for it either.
But I do suffer with my stomach.

A change of taste or smell is one symptom of Covid 19 I have had it for months after illness, you might have had mild exposure to virus.
Or it could be just the start of reflux which is easily treated.

Cabbie21 .... No I don't think so. I don't go out that often to wear one.

Could the taste on your lips be from wearing a mask?

Hi Sarnia, it could be as I don't think I drink enough some days. But odd it only now this past few weeks I've tasted it.

Dehydration can make your saliva taste salty.

Hi vampirequeen .... Yes my gums seem OK.

Are your gums OK? Bleeding gums can give you a salty taste in your mouth.

Hi ExD ...I have been to my GP about my stomach problems. Waiting on bloods and urine test results. I mentioned the salty taste but she didn't say anything about it. Even just licking my lips I can taste it.

Only when I'm about to be sick. Would actually vomiting make you feel better do you think?
If you have Patient Access with your surgery - ask for a phone appointment with your GP or a Practise nurse.

Hi all, I've been having stomach problems for a while now but for the past few weeks I've been getting a salty taste in my mouth. Has anyone else experienced this.
