Anyone heard of keracotonus.Not sure if I've spelt it correctly.

I have it but thankfully it does not seem to have progressed and causes me no problems. I was told it can run in families but none of my children or siblings have it.

My uncle and cousin both have keratoconus.

Hi, my daughter has this in both eyes. Diagnosed 23 yrs ago. Aged 25.It was very upsetting to begin with for her as well as us. However over the years she has learnt to live with it. She attends hospital appointments every six months to keep a check on things. She has contact lenses made to suit the condition which are updated as and when needed. She is able to still drive providing she wear the lenses. I’m sure your son will get all the possible help. Best wishes to him and yourself.

I hadn’t until my son was diagnosed with it too. There’s lots of information on the web about it, if you google it, much more informative than what I could offer. I only know it’s quite a rare condition!
