The secret to a good nights sleep....

For about 10 years a good nights sleep has been a rare pleasure.
I’ve tried OTC tablets, meditation, diet and pillow sprays with varying results.
Finally I think I’ve found the solution in a tea bag!
It’s a well known organic brand that has a night time tea.
I’m sleeping like a log.....just hoping it lasts.
Has anyone else discovered this little bag of magic?

For anyone wanting to do a trial run before committing to buying a large supply it’s available in boxes of 20 in Asda.

Hope shops don’t run out. Many thanks for the tip!!

I use Pukka night time and I’m dozing off by the end of the cup :-)

Clipper Sleep teabags are very good.

I tried the Pukka one and didn't like the taste nor find it helpful. However the Twinings sleep tea is much more to my taste and does help a bit.

Pukka night time - totally brilliant! You can get it via Amazon three boxes at a time.

I have been looking at these weighted blankets for some time now.. what puts me off is the colour! grey,, a bit of a dismal colour for me,

think I will go look again

thanks for this.

Tangerine- not at all old fashioned. Tumeric milk- also known as golden milk, is fantastic just before bed. Lots of recipies on line but I'm happy to post one if wanted.

I'd try it if I didn't think herbal tea was like drinking my own bathwater.

I use Dr Stuart’s Valerian tea if I need to knock myself out. Otherwise I use Twinings Sleep tea, which doesn’t have any valerian (the knock out bit) or Yogi bedtime tea, which has fennel, chamomile and valerian root. Lots of sleepy teas out there to explore! Enjoy.

I'll definitely try it. Thanks for the recommendation ?

I haven’t read all six pages of this thread, but recommend Celestial Seasonings Nighttime tea to assist good sleep. From memory, it is made by Buddhist monks in California. I get it from Amazon.

Unfortunately I have an allergy to chamomile!! so I try to avoid it.
Might try again, however, since some of my allergies seem to have gone.

Had another Pukka tea last night, had a good nights sleep, best for a long while.

I did take two dispersible Panadol earlier as I'm having trouble with neck/shoulders, so not sure if it was a combination.

I did dream an awful lot though, but I tend to anyway, only got up once for loo.

But will be trying it again tonight (will have to set alarm though as working tomorrow) !

Last night I moved to a different bedroom in my home, took 1/2 a Phenergan, and woke up 12 hours later!
Not sure why this worked but perhaps it was psychological?
Leaving an area associated with sleeping badly to a neutral area perhaps?

I've tried the Avon and the This Works pillow sprays and they didn't work for me. One of them did lure a massive hibernating bee out of wherever it was hiding and onto my pillow in the early hours, but that wasn't what I was hoping for!

But I was sent a Rituals deep sleep pillow mist as a free gift in my recipe box this week and have slept like a baby two nights running after using it. I'm hoping it's not just a coincidence.

I can recommend the Avon lavender sleep pillow spray . Also I have the free Borrowbox app on my phone which links to your local library and I listen to one of the books to send me to sleep .You can set it to switch off after so many minutes. It’s lovely listening to a book while you fall asleep .

MayBee70 That’s great news, if it’s helped one person for a couple of nights then my post was worth it?.

I tried the nighttime berry with good results last night, I prefer the taste.

Well, I had another good nights sleep after drinking the tea. And I’ve had two boxes from the Tesco’s delivery as well.

I buy pheneragan and Nytol from online pharmacies such as UKMeds as I'm pretty much housebound.
I was quite sceptical about doing so, but I've bought quite a few medications online and their service is faultless.
It seems that most UK online pharmacies are based in Nottingham.

Probably based at the Boots factory in Nottingham.

Antihistamines help me and I often have one called polaramine which you have to get at the chemist. Tried valerian etc but no good.I have prescription ones for if I’m desperate but I don’t like to take them more than once a week for fear of addiction.
