Tight, sore muscles can be anxiety or stress related. Relaxation, listening to soothing music, yoga, massaging with some pleasant body lotion or oil can all help. I have a lavender balm thar I was given during my cancer treatment, when I was having trouble sleeping. You rub a little on your wrists and temple. Camomile is also soothing, you can get camomile tea bags.

It can be a vicious circle. You feel a slight pain - so you become anxious about it - so your muscles become tense - so you feel the pain more - so you become more anxious.

Especially just now when perhaps you aren't able to fill your day with your usual activities. We can all begin to overthink the simplest of things.

If your legs are sore then a gentle walk may well ease them and give you some enjoyment etc at the same time.

I think many physical symptoms can be caused by anxiety. Particularly ongoing anxiety which we have all been dealing with, for the past year. Even for those people who have not been directly affected, we are constantly bombarded with news of illness and death. It must be affecting everyone, to some degree.

How are people coping with anxiety during these difficult days? My leg muscles are sore and apparenctly this is a symptom of anziety/stress. Does anyone else have these symptoms.

I notice that when I talk to people on the village green or manage to have a good laugh and a bit of fun on the phone these symptoms abate. I am sure they are psycholigical, My doctor on the phone said it is anxiety related.

Would love to hear others' comments on this.
