pain: do we feel it at different times of the day?

I think I feel pain more not only at night but also during the day when I feel down.

Pain is always felt more at night I think. and also when it's wet outside .. all sorts came up when I googled it as I'm sure you would know, here's just one..

Thought a survey was done a little while ago that we feel higher or lower levels of pain at different times of the day.
Can any one shed light if this is true or not.
