I have been living with a rectocele for several years now without pessary or surgery. So far uterus and bladder still in place. It felt like the end of the world at first, I am terrified of surgery and read every word I could about prolapse online. I downloaded the NHS Squeezy app and ever since the problem has really improved. Pelvic floor exercises are the key. The prolapse is still there but I am not aware of it very often. I know that I will have to do the exercises for the rest of my life but it’s just part of my daily routine now. If I do become aware of the prolapse I find that leaning forward with hands on knees an wiggling my bum about seems to put it back in place. I am not sure which type of prolapse you have but I am sure some of this will help. Don’t subscribe to that expensive programme online I don’t see how that could help, because it’s the pelvic floor muscles that hold everything up and need to be made stronger, you don’t need to spend a fortune to do them. I highly recommend the Squeezy app.
