A worrying and confusing time for you flowers
I can remember those first hot flushes and they were abit scary and I wondered what was going on. I can’t remember having bad cramps for that long, although my cycle was all over the place.
As others have said you should see a doctor as soon as you can.

Thank you allsmile I can find tons of info about pregnancy but little about menopause. My mom hasn't had a period in 30 years, she doesn't remember how her first signs of early menopause were.

I'm going to give my body 9 days to straighten out and if nothing changes and I still can't get a positive pregnancy test I'll just have to find an obgyn.

You need to see a doctor. They can do a test to see if you’re approaching menopause. flowers

I've been taking pregnancy tests, no positives yet. I'm 6 days late, cramping for 17 days straight and getting hot flushes at night. My face turns red and even my eyes feel dry and burning. So many symptoms are just like pregnancy but no positive tests. Since my mom went onto meno early I thought maybe that's what this is, but it's just soo sudden, nothing leading up to it or giving me a clue. Strange.

Go to the doc, given the past experience.

Have you heard of having too much hcg so it is out of range of pregnancy tests?

It seems likely that you are expecting Helen.
? Congratulations ?

Are you Ange from Holby? She's feeling like that too. Thought it was menopause onset but it's a baby!
Good luck however things turn out for you.

You are still young enough to be pregnant. The pregnancy tests are usually accurate but as you are having cramps it may be best to check with your doctor.

If it’s negative go and see your doctor.

I'm absolutely going crazy. I'm 37. Kinda on the young side for premeno but my mom was 39, my grandmother had her last baby at 45 though....
I've had regular 28-30 day cycles up till now, nothing had changed about them. I don't think I've had any signs until this cycle.
I'm 6 days late, having menstrual cramps, breast pain, irritability etc but no positive pregnancy test.
Can premeno hit hard and fast without any weird periods hinting it's coming? I've been cramping for 17 days straight, started 3 days after ovulation. It is absolutely maddening because it feels just like pregnancy. Pregnancy is possible since my husband and I were active the day before I ovulated and I'm not on birth control. I did have a pregnancy in the past that I couldn't get positive urine tests on until I was 2 months pregnant. So it could go either way. I'm just wondering if premeno can hit so hard and fast out of the blue?
