Has anyone had cause to seek a second opinion following accidental trauma which then required surgical treatment which took a long time to be done. I'm talking trauma NOT elective surgery.
If so, how did you go about it please, any advice would be most welcome. Thank you.

A few more details would be helpful.

A second opinion is usually when you don’t feel confident about the diagnosis or treatment suggested.

For a different issue (cancer) I wanted a 2nd opinion about treatment. My GP was very accommodating and referred me to the expert in my type of cancer in London.

The normal route is to ask your GP to refer you for a second opinion. It doesn’t make any difference if it’s accidental trauma or elective surgery.
