I was diagnosed with this last year. I have found exercises help, exercising the muscles that surround the bone help support. There are lots online.

An you afford to go to an osteopath? They can probably do more good than surgery or painkillers, I believe.

You can always look up the phone number of your consultant's secretary and speak to her (or go through the switchboard if an NHS Trust) Secretaries will intervene on your behalf if you stress politely but firmly that things have deteriorated to an unacceptable level. I know, I used to be one! That's if they haven't outsourced all the typing to India of course! But someone will be running round after them, they are fairly hopeless left to their own devices! ?

B9. Thanks, quite a lot of good luck needed to get a review!??

If things have changed in the last few months, that is the time to go back and seek a review. Good luck!

Anyone? I have had this for several years, many visits to doctors, usual answer, it’s an age thing. Nearly two years ago saw a Geriatric consultant, had a scan ,same diagnosis although she did say Arthritis. Other than pain killers no suggestions for relief given. However in the last few months the pain is worse and moved to the back of my head, also sight ,hearing and balance affected with brain fog thrown in. Plus I can sleep for England ( Olympic sport!!) I would’ve appreciate it if anyone has had or got similar symptoms and how you cope. I’ve had eye tests twice and no change in prescription. Had a stroke three years ago and not been able to drive since due to these symptoms.
Now I’ve written this down it sounds awful but can’t see any light at the end of the tunnel. ???
