The television news often warns of flashing lights imminent in a news report.
But does anyone ask people who are there - politicians, movie stars, sports stars etc - whether they are alright being subjected to flashing lights before all the flashing lights start?
Is it like it used to be expected, indeed indignantly required, by many that other people should just accept that people could pollute their air with tobacco smoke?
It seems to me potentially dangerous to just recklessly start flashing lights at someone.
Why is it allowed?
It seems strange that a situation exists where television news so often cannot get a news report without flashing lights being in it.
