Thanks for your replies.
She was meant to go for blood tests last week to check for glandular fever but obviously couldn't go.
Apparently the headmaster voiced his opinion about some children not being vaccinated. I'm not sure what the outcome was.
At the moment her mum, my daughter and her 10 year old sister also have Covid. Not a happy household at the moment.

Firstly I hope that you have raised a complaint about the nurse leaving some children without the protection of a vaccine. They should at least be aware of the consequences of her/his actions. I would also suggest that her parents seek medical advice. There are treatments available, I hope she gets some help.

One of my grand-daughters had to rearrange her 18th birthday celebrations as she firstly, had Covid but couldn't seem to shake off the tiredness afterwards. Although her post-Covid tests were clear she went back to her doctor and blood tests showed she had glandular fever. Her GP had seen quite a lot of post-Covid teens who were now ill with glandular fever. Similar symptoms too, extreme tiredness, nausea and a general feeling of being unwell.

So sorry to hear that.

I know of cases around me that took a month or more to feel a little bit better.

I hope the pediatrician can give you some guidance.

My almost 13 year old granddaughter is into her third week of suffering with covid symptoms. She was ill the week before half term and tested positive, she was unwell all of half term week and is still at home today when she should have gone back to school.
Her school have been very understanding and have said that there are a lot of children who are taking a long time to get back to normal. She is so very tired all the time, not much appetite and as white as a sheet. I haven't seen her, this is from my daughter.
Do any of you have grandchildren who have suffered with covid and not bounced back quickly ?
We all hate to see her like this and she is missing so much school and her beloved dancing.
School have said they will provide work for her to do at home when she feels up to it.
I think the hardest thing is that she was due to have her covid jab about four weeks ago at school, but the nurse doing the vaccinations decided at 3'oclock that she wouldn't do anymore and my granddaughter and about 20 others missed out. They didn't offer another date.
We do wonder if she had had the jab if she would have been so poorly. She is also asthmatic.
I'm just putting this out there to see if this resonates with anyone else.
Thank you for reading.
