Covid booster double check dates

I was invited by letter to attend to get my flu jag and covid booster today. I was very happy to do so.
Unfortunately I couldn’t get my covid booster because it was only 23 weeks 6 days since I got my 2nd vaccine 1 days short of the cutoff of 24 weeks. I will return tomorrow to get the covid booster.

I did a rough tally in my head when my appointment letter arrived but should have checked my calendar. Please check your dates carefully. ?

I just heard on the news that people can book a booster 5months after their second jab.

I believe you can book it from 5 months after the second, but not actually have it until 6 months are up.

That is correct, it helps plan ahead though which is useful.

If I had booked the appointment myself I would have had to properly check the dates, because the appointment came in a letter I assumed, ( I know never assume), that it would be correct.

Your assumption was a reasonable one, Zennomore, IMO.
