Reusable Sanitary Pads for Incontinence?

Have you tried those new knickers from M&S? They are supposed to do instead of sanitary pads. They may work for incontinence. I have cough incontinence and am thinking of trying them, but they aren't cheap

Sounds like we have gone back in time. My mom was born in 1927 . When she started her periods they had to make there own sanitary towels out of a towel cut into a rectangle and with a layer of cotton wool in the middle. They were boiled and once dry the cotton wool thrown away and remade using new cotton wool. She was glad Dr Whites towels came about when she was older.

Mind you I remember wearing Dr Whites with that horrible belt with hooks for the loops. Was very glad when stick on towels came out even though it was like wearing a duvet between your legs. Glad when they got thinner.

Seems things have come full circle. But if I needed them for inconvenience I would use the use once ones only . Ok it's not eco friendly but I do and use lot of things that are.

I have mild stress incontinence and use washable light panty liners. They are brilliant, and also come in various lengths and absorbencies. I got mine on line from the Ethical Superstore, but they are currently all out of stock. The ImseVimse brand are the best for me, available elsewhere, listed under washable menstrual pads rather than incontinence. The branded ones have a leak-proof layer , which some of the homemade ones on Etsy, Ebay etc don't.
