As most of you are aware there's a Just Giving appeal for one of our own -
Soop. I know many have contributed but wonder if others are just flipping past the 'Grade four rectal prolapse' thread.
There's less than £1500 till target. I wonder if some of you who have had to cancel meals and drinks out would consider contributing what you might have had to pay for those to Soop's fund? She has an awful condition and her situation is complex. Please Grans, think of contributing. sunshine

Wonderful news!
It’s good to be a part of something where kindness and caring for others is valued. ?

Really pleased to read this.
And thank you for the invitation to Soop's kitchen which sounds like a good place to be. I might look in one day after scanning a few pages first to catch up.

Marydoll Tue 21-Dec-21 15:24:25

Thank you Tilly for your kind wishes.
I am hoping to go and see the invalids tomorrow, where they will speak from a socially distanced height, after my extremely, early hospital appointment. Mr MDoll has set the alarm for an ungodly hour. It probably would be better to just browse GN and, not to go sleep at all tonight! wink

TillyTrotter Tue 21-Dec-21 15:15:03

Thank you, and to you Marydoll and Mr Marydoll. I hope your Dollie and others in your family are recovered /out of isolation very soon. x

Marydoll Tue 21-Dec-21 14:25:16

Slàinte Mhath!, Good health to you, Tilly and everyone, who has supported Soop.

TillyTrotter Tue 21-Dec-21 14:11:05

Is the word Slainte when you toast good health in Scotland?
That’s my toast to soop today ??
And to everyone in the kitchen (raising my cup of mint tea).

OnwardandUpward Tue 21-Dec-21 14:04:55

I am overjoyed for Soop. To be a small part of this has meant so much.
This Christmas could have been sad for me, being estranged from my son and family but to be able to make someone else's Christmas a bit happier brings me joy. It is more blessed to give than recieve.

Charleygirl5 Tue 21-Dec-21 13:58:02

soop three months ago I do not think you thought this was on the horizon never mind an extra early Christmas present.

You need a glass of something, purely for medicinal purposes of course.

Calistemon Tue 21-Dec-21 10:47:43

MrSoop thank you so much for your personal replies to us all. You are a lovely couple and I sincerely hope you have a relaxing Christmas now that the goal has been reached. Hopefully, more will continue to be added, x

Marydoll Tue 21-Dec-21 09:47:51

I have just received a text message from Mr &Mrs Soop. They are speechless. What a joyful day!

Witzend Tue 21-Dec-21 09:43:15

Done. ?for reaching the target soon.

Fridayschild Tue 21-Dec-21 09:22:31

I hadn’t seen any of this but spotted it today and have contributed a little. It would be good if the soops got a bit more that they are asking for. They will still have to find thousands and although “you can’t take it with you” it’d be nice if they didn’t have to find as much. I do hope it all goes well for Soop. ?

GrannyOwl5 Tue 21-Dec-21 09:14:55

Fantastic news! Well done everyone, brilliant effort. Happy Christmas Soop and Mr Soop

allsortsofbags Tue 21-Dec-21 09:12:44

Wonderful news, so very glad Soop will now be able to have the treatment she needs.

And a big thank you to Mr Soop for the lovely messages he's sent.

Charleygirl5 Tue 21-Dec-21 09:03:34

Please may I remind everybody that the full amount required is £25,000 and her family is rallying around finding the remainder.

It does appear that it will be done very soon which is fabulous.

Juno56 Tue 21-Dec-21 08:52:59
