Mini Tornado had an interview yesterday, no luck but definitely a positive, she keeps being told ‘lacks experience’, how can she have experience when she can’t get work, anyway
the chap who interviewed yesterday contacted her and said to
apply for the next job comes up and he will arrange for her to
go to the dept to see how it all works before the interview.

Had my shrubs for my patio all planned , chose a garden bench, council will not allow a water tap to be fitted at front of
bungalow, I didn’t ask them to pay,just notified them, wish I had shut up and had it fitted ?

Doodle Thank you. Both GDs are going to a football match with my son (their dad) and husband tomorrow. I'm having a more relaxed day today - took son to job (he seems to be getting on well) and my friend is calling round at lunchtime. Hope you and your husband are getting on ok.
SweetpeaSue Thanks. I've always been the kind of person who gets on with things. I'm not in the least bit concerned about the brain thing, as I haven't got any symptoms (I'll cross that bridge if I get any)
EllieAnne Are you on antidepressants? My husband doesn't talk much but I do things online (courses, as well as games/Facebook, etc) and I listen to music, do crosswords, chat to family and friends on the 'phone.

Hi Annie Thankyou for the poem of Hope. I love Emily Dickinson. I'd been looking at that very one when I was searching for one for this thread. I know I must overthink things as I've wanted to post one but I come across a line and I think oh that might remind someone of this or that or someone might feel such and such with that verse so I don't share.
Have you been successful at introducing a biscuit, maybe a Rich T or 'Nice' biscuit. 'Nice' biscuits were one of the things I was allowed the 2 dys prior to Colonography.
Nonnie Still on my mind and hoping you're feeling a little better. Hope your mind gets some rest from the your troubles.
Doodle Your words meant a lot as I was pretty raw. I still don't know why the procedure caused such v severe pain. I couldn't do any of the breathing I was instructed to do, it was so bad. Must depend on the person's bowel I suppose. Anyway its done. I hope your eyes are feeling more comfortable and your husband is coping with the RBS.
HVDY You're an inspiration. You're family are so lucky-home made meals, and soldiering on with all you've been through. I hope your neurology appt brings you more reassurance. Take care of yourself too.
EllieAnne Sounds like you've a lot to deal with at home. Very hard indeed. I'm sorry. You are struggling on so you must be stronger than you think. I think we all must be. Thinking of you, and hoping you have a better day tomorrow.

Still pain today but eased off so I may sleep. If I had magic wand I'd wish everyone a good day tomorrow and a peaceful night. My sincere wishes though. X

Ellie Anne I’m sorry you are feeling so down. I can’t imagine what it must be like living with someone you don’t really talk to. It’s lovely to be with grandchildren and out doing things but then when you come home you feel lonely.
Are there any evening groups you could go to? Anything to look forward to?
I wish I could find something to help you but it’s a difficult situation to live with.
Don’t add weak faith to your worries. When we are feeling low we all feel the same. It’s hard to believe things will be better and to live with worries and depression.
Hope your family are all ok. I know you worry about them too.

Hello everyone. I started to type hello and help came up! And I do need help.
I’m feeling so lonely and down this week. Ridiculous because I’ve seen my grandchildren and been quite busy. But today is an empty day. I’ve been for a walk 5 km and called in on a friend but nothing helps. We are both in the house this afternoon in different rooms with nothing to say.
I’m trying to pluck up the courage to phone garage to book mot.
My faith is so weak.

SweetpeaSue The colongraphy must have been unpleasant. Good job that's over with. Hopefully the results will be through soon and you can get the correct treatment.
Doodle I hope you and your husband slept alright last night and that things are going on ok with you both.

I've been busy - took son to the new job - told him he'll have to ake his own way there on 2 buses if he's taken on permanently. Called in to Asda pharmacy as they'd missed one of my medications off yesterday. It's a beta-blocker to slow down my heart rate, so my heart was racing all night. Came home, folded 2 loads of washing, put it all away (It's like a Chinese laundry here!), prepared a chicken curry from scratch, got it in the slow-cooker (son 2 and a friend will be joining us for tea tonight), bought some beers for the men (Can't have curry without a couple of beers), been to the lovely Indian takeaway place and got samosas, bhajis and naans. Vacuumed the stairs and landing. I'm flagging now so I'll have a doze this afternoon

Sweetpeasue I’m so sorry the procedure was so bad. At least it’s over with now. Hope the results when they come through are fine. Can you take some pain killers to help you sleep?
This is the one place you can come and say how you feel. It’s why we are here.
If your son is having problems then it’s no wonder you’re upset. On top of the anxiety over this procedure. I think we are all badly affected by worries about our family. I know that’s what causes my biggest anxiety.
I’m glad you are talking to us it’s better than bottling it all up inside. We don’t have the answers to everything but we have all felt really low and although the feelings have different causes the resulting depression and anxiety is the same.
I hope your son works through his problems ok.
You need some rest to recover from your colonography. Hope you get a good night tonight and the world looks better tomorrow.
Joce nice to know you’re still with us and dispensing kind words too.
Haven’t heard from Scaredycat for a while. Hope you are ok if you are reading.

Annie I'm sorry to hear about your latest effort with the biscuit. Sounds a great idea to try the baby foods. Cow n Gate, that takes me back. Hadn't realised they were still around.
HVDY I see why you were reluctant to initially find out results from scan. I'm so glad it's benign and I hope you will get some reassurance from the neurologist soon. Hope you had a nice afternoon with your son and granddaughters.
Doodle Off to hospital again this afternoon. We're glad they're there to help us but one can get so sick of the place. Hope everything is OK for your husband and you're still getting better rests at night. Are your eyes a lot better now.

Had my colonography yesterday. Hope I never need another as I don't believe I could ever do it again. Tbh it was terrible but its done. I've had pain a lot today and bowels badly affected but I understand this is not everyone's experience by any means.
Should get results in 1 to 2 weeks.
Extremely tired. Very low but a lot going on with son too with ex. Just feel like crying, I'm so scared. Hope you don't mind me sharing all this. I tell myself Ill only say such and such then I find my feelings spilling.
What a chaotic world at present. Sometimes God seems so far away. Sorry.
Anyway tomorrow's another day. Scarlet OHara? Not drunk--just rambling.

Annie sorry about the hobnob I expect that they have a high fibre content from oats or similar. You need time to get used to things. Avoid anything low calorie as they often contain sucrose or artificial sugars which have a laxative effect.
I think the baby food may be a good idea. Small quantities more often perhaps.
Good job you were aware the groomer had unplugged your phone. That could have caused no end of problems.
I’m so glad you have your dogs for company. The very best companions. They always listen. I love the way they cock their heads to one side when you talk to them.
HVDY that must have been a a bit of a shock with your MRI results. Thank goodness it’s benign. I hope you get to see the neurologist soon. Hope your DS gets on well in his trial job and it works out for him.
Nonnie I do so feel for you. There have been times when I have thought I couldn’t cope with any more. Somehow we get through and the world rights itself again. Holding you in my prayers. Hope your family get well soon and whatever else ails you is resolved.
Off to the hospital the afternoon to collect DHs meds and for another blood test.
Went to church this morning and still haven’t warmed up yet.

Anniebach Shame about the biscuits. Baby food? It's worth a try but there's not a lot in those jars. When mine were babies, I used to like the Heinz Chocolate Pudding in a tin . Oh, it's lovely to have pets, isn't it? Your dogs must love you as much as you love them. I've always had at least one cat (on occasion, 2 or 3) and I talk to my old boy a lot (he's deaf now but I still chat to him) x

Nonnie my Mini Tornado had Covid twice , my grandson once, both are fine, we worry if our loved ones are unwell x

HVDY the neurosurgeon will explain surely. You certainly are physically active x yes I have 2 dogs, haven’t been without
dogs since my Grampa bought me a puppy when I was in school. Every evening when settling to sleep I tell them how my day has been, they sit and listen , so sweet, really can’t imagine what it would be like without dogs,

Ate one biscuit yesterday, it worked as would a strong laxative!
so biscuits now off my list, the surgery pharmacist telephoned me this morning, she suggested I start with jars of baby food so
it’s Cow and Gate for me now.

How is everyone on this wet, grey, misty morning? I've been up since 7, done some washing, gave Son no. 1 a lift to the other side of town, for his 3 day work trial for a new job. x

Thanks all. It gets worse, just heard that DS and family all have Covid. So many things all at once, I can't bear it.

I enjoyed aqua aerobics. Finally for the results of the brain MRI I had 8 weeks ago. It's a Meningioma (benign tumour) but it's not giving me any symptoms, not pressing on anything. The hospital is referring me to a Neurosurgeon to see what they think of the MRI. I'm not concerned at all This thing is in the area of the brain that deals with emotions - I wonder if that's why I've had depression/anxiety all these years?

Had busy morning , carer, then dog groomer, she plugged in
her extension lead but unplug my house phone and no internet, thankfully younger daughter didn’t call out the police and fire brigade because she couldn’t contact me.

Ate one Hob Knob, want to eat the packet. It’s one step forward to eating food .

How is everyone in the gang today? I was meant to be going to a friend's today but somehow didn't feel up to it. Instead, I did some washing and hung it out, then vacuumed through all downstairs, then just vacuumed the car. I used to be able to do all those things and more,and go to work, but since the stroke, I have to sit down in between each task. Aqua Aerobics later. x
