Oh EllieAnne I'm glad you're feeling a little better. It sounds like last week was terrible for you. I'm not sure what to say but hope the brighter days this week will help though weirdly they can sometimes make things worse. Sorry, I wish I knew what to say.
HVDY I admire you so much and just as I know EllieAnne is more special to her family than she can realise, when feeling so low, I can see that you have been vital to yours. You've looked after your son and grandchildren while not being well yourself and keep battling on. Once more not sure what to say of help but I know that how you manage every day is quite inspiring.

Although virus much better I'm not right at all. For last 4 weeks headaches and feeling ill, like I'm underwater. I get pain in lower tummy and feels like something pressing on bladder. It's not like the pain I had from Adenomyosis. Have letter from Gastroenterologist saying I will get f2f appt in 'near future'.
I feel v guilty telling my troubles when everyone has theirs. BD is all I have. Truthfully I feel so bad. Just been to son's and cried over him. What use am I?

HVDY you are not the only one who weighs too much. I know my extra weight affects my breathing. Try using your inhaler before exercise or walking. It might help a bit.
I expect the covid is responsible for a lot of things too.
You seem to be busy though.
How nice to meet a random stranger and strike up a friendship.

Sweetpeasue you have a very caring attitude that comes out in your posts. You are saying and doing all the right things. Showing others you care by your words and kind thoughts.
No need to feel guilty about sharing your troubles it’s what we are here for. You haven’t been well for a while and have ongoing concerns it’s not surprising you feel down and anxious. Until these health problems are resolved you are bound to be upset.
Good you are getting a Face to face appointment soon. It might be an idea to write down all your concerns and questions before you go. We always do that and it helps in case you forget something and think of it later. I hope your son is understanding. What use are you? Every use. You are a kind thoughtful person who’s going through a bad patch health wise. Like Ellie Anne you are too hard on yourself.

I was afraid to read a response to my post. Thankyou so much for your kindness and understanding Doodle. I want you to know it has helped enormously, you are a generous and kind person. That has made me cry. My son has been through a lot but I'm pleased to say he's in a good place right now with lovely girlfriend. He was very appreciative of some home made bread and cheese scones in return for the drenching. We have a good relationship I think and though he lives in same village I give him lots of space and respect his independence.
Other son and family live over couple of hrs drive away and ill
health has meant not seeing him since Boxing Day but they're good people.

Sweetpeasue Thank you for your kind words. I put on a front and get on with things each day, but inside I feel there's no point in it all. It's stupid of me, because I'm very fortunate to be as well as I am, with a close and loving family. Every day is a mental struggle. I'm sorry you're still having problems, and I hope you get an appointment really soon. x

HVDY- So nice to have a chance encounter with somebody you feel at home with- it can really lift your day can’t it.I would like to bump into you too- you are a very brave and kind lady.
SweetPeaSue- ah so sorry you feel bad but no wonder as you have so many health worries wearing you down. Nevertheless you are always understanding and compassionate towards others.I expect your son was glad to be able to comfort you. I,m glad he is happy with his girlfriend and that he lives close to you. Hope your F2F appt comes soon.
Annie- so sorry to hear about Lottie she has been a loving and faithful companion to you through good and bad times. I think we always know when it is time to say goodbye to our pets but I hope this is not so for Lottie. She is lucky to be loved by you.xx

Think I need to really rest my foot today it swelled up a lot yesterday so I probably overdid it. Hygienist this morning and coffee with my friend this afternoon so not much walking?

Sweetpeasue it’s good your son has a nice girlfriend and you get on well. That’s a big help. Nice to have one close by as your other son is further away.
HVDY it’s hard putting on a front for people. It’s so difficult to be in good spirits when you know you don’t feel like that inside. Hope things get better for you soon.

Oh Annie I’m so sorry. Poor Lottie. But she has been much loved by you and has had a good life. That won’t help if you have to lose her but it may be a comfort in the long run. I hope she’s not in pain and is as comfortable as possible. So so sorry.
Scaredycat your foot sounds painful. Have you had it x rayed or checked by anyone. Have you tried an ice pack and elevation to help the swelling go down?
We are going for a walk soon. Hope we don’t get too worn out as I have a lot to do today.

I've been wondering what to do about myself/life. I'm going to try to go back to work (perhaps 15-20 hours a week), doing some type of care work. I'm actually signed off until June, but being at home and trying to find things to do/finding people to talk to and spend time with is driving me a bit mad. (It would be good to have a bit of money, too). I've applied for a few jobs, so we'll see.......... Hope everyone had enjoyed the sunshine today x

Annie I’m so sorry Lottie isn’t well. Hope she is better now.
Have had a bad night. Was at oldest sons yesterday and found out they are having terrible trouble with a neighbour. Her child 11 has been bullying my granddaughters 11 and 9. When d in law went to door to speak to her about it she got abusive language and was physically attacked. Phoned police but so far they’ve been too busy to attend. Worried sick.

Ellie Anne I’m so sorry for you troubles. I know about children being bullied and it’s awful. At least your DGDs have a mum and dad who they can talk to and support them which is a big plus. I suggest your DIL phones the police again and see if she can push them to come round.
Does this girl go to the same school as you granddaughters? If so then the school should be told to keep an eye out for any conflict. No wonder you’re upset. My son and his family have been through the same though not with neighbours.
Hope they get some positive help soon.
HVDY if you feel up to it, I’m sure a part time job that isn’t stressful could be a big help. Hope you get a positive response from your applications.

Annie like others I am wondering about your dear Lottie. All of us can have a real bond with out pets but in your case, being on your own so much I can see how heartbreaking it would be to lose her.
Scardycat how is your foot today? Are you able to walk any better?
We went for lunch with friends to day and had a nice time. I think I might have been sitting in a draught because I have a pain in my left ear. It has happened before so hope it will wear off soon. Just been baking brownies for myDGS and the smell is wafting everywhere. Must resist the temptation to have a nibble.

Ellie Anne that’s not good. If it can’t be sorted by then. What’s the new school like on bullying? It’s worth making sure they understand the situation. Sounds like it is not just the child but the mother too. Shame really, being neighbours they could be friends.

Turns out the other mum has accused dil of dragging her out of the house and assaulting her. So if they want to take it further police would arrest them both. She’s been told to contact police any time something happens . Sounds like they believe her version but can’t do anything. It’s a horrible situation and she’s in a terrible state.

Lottie spent Wednesday night at the vets on a drip, had major
surgery early morning yesterday , home last night , really ill,
back to vets today .

Yes Doodle they is a special bond with Lottie, she was a present from Catherine. But my dogs, all 17 of them I have loved so much.

Ellieanne It's upsetting when children are being bullied. I hope the school will do something about it. The mother of the kid sounds a nightmare.

Is everyone alright today?

I don't feel well - I felt "off" yesterday evening - headache, pressure in one ear, feel bunged-up like a cold, and I'm cold and tired. Perhaps some bug or other. I'm staying in today and tidying up. The 2 aids I had left from when I was first home from the hospital were collected earlier - a bath board, bed guard, and commode. It's good to not need any kind of help. Hope everyone has a decent day x

HVDY- As long as you dont do anything too strenuous I think it might do you good to do something that you enjoy and gives you something else to think about . I hope that you find something that will suit you.
I,m sorry you don’t feel so well today- it does sound like a bug of some kind. You must have been pleased to see the last of your aids leaving- you have done so well. Hope you feel better soonx
EllieAnne- what a worry for you and your DiL must be frightened apart from anything else. I hope they soon get the help and understanding they need.
Doodle- glad you enjoyed your lunch. Hope your ear feels more comfortable today. Ears can be really painful can’t they- cold weather often makes mine hurt.
Yes I have elevated,iced and warmed my foot but it’s still not right. I have exercises from the physio and will see him in ten days time or so. I can walk ok for normal living but no way could I go for a proper walk. It gets quite swollen by the end of the day. It’s only been a week but seems much longer!!
Annie- Poor little Lottie. I hope she’s not in too much discomfort it must be a very stressful time for you. She’s obviously very special to you . Take care of yourself too XX

Anniebach I do hope your Lottie is improving. Is she eating OK? I know that's a good sign if she is. You will be feeling so anxious and sad. I loved my son's labrador like my own. We looked after him for 2 weeks every month when he works offshore. He was 13 but Labradors have much shorter lives. I hope your Lottie pulls through, I really do. X
HVDY I hope you're OK. There's such a lot of viruses around. Take it easy if you can. If it turns out to be a cold with conjestion I think Olbas oil is good on a tissue tucked under edge of pillow.
Scaredycat Do hope your poor swollen ankle is healing, so you can do your walking. I am curious about the foxes, do you live in a rural area or are they urban foxes that seem to be on the increase?

EllieAnne It's miserable and stressful for your daughter living next to a very angry lady. She sounds really awful. We approached some new neighbours about a problem, very politely and were threatened by a big bruise of a man on our doorstep some years ago. It was awful. We could have called police but thought it might escalate the situation but in your daughter's case she has the worry of her own daughter. I'm so sorry, you will feel helpless but extremely worried and protective towards your DGD. Do hope the situation improves. X

I'm sorry but I've felt more pain the last couple of days and spent 2 nights up ill and verging on A&E. Had to cancel having GS early this morning. I'm v scared about it all. Pinning hopes on my usual GP for appt on Monday(she's been away 2 weeks). Someone will have to do something, this can't be right, I've never had so much pain. Sorry. I m not sure if it's appropriate for me to post as its not going to help anyone.

Hello all.
Just had some worrying news and have sunk into the usual pit of anxiety and anxiousness. Stomach churning and fretful.
I’ve had a good run of being ok but the old panic has set in again.
Ellie Anne this is a worrying situation. Is it worth your son installing a camera to record the goings on outside.
It can’t be good for any of the children. At least they are not in the same school at the moment. I’m so sorry for your worry.
Annie poor Lottie. You must be so worried. I hope you get her back safely. No wonder she means so much to you.

Sweetpeasue oh I’m so sorry you’re missing out in seeing your DGS. I’m hoping on Monday you get to see your GP and you get some answers and help. Sorry you’re in so much pain.
