Some months ago, I mentioned to my GP that my toes and soles of my feet had patches of numbness. He asked if it felt like walking on cotton wool which was exactly what I did feel. Perhaps it's more as if my socks were wrinkled under my feet which they aren't. Now there is some numbness around my knees and they are cold even when the weather isn't.
There's a facebook page on the subject of PN. Most of the (American) contributors are far worse off than I am, suffering disability and having a lot of pain which demands treatment with some ferocious-sounding drugs. Now I am a little apprehensive about the progress of this condition and wonder if there are other grans who could let me know about their own experience of it, and what I might expect if it gets any worse than discomfort.
