Well, the official statistics show rates are falling. I’m hoping this is true but there seems to be a shortage of LFTs and we certainly can’t find any right now. So, if there’s a shortage wouldn’t this skew the stats?

It’s so disconcerting to recognise that I now question everything I’m told by government, media, and official sources, not to mention all the disinformation that abounds on social media.It feels like the foundations of western democracy are creaking under the weight of lies and misinformation.

My daughter posted yesterday on FB that it feels like 1984 and even the media are quoting Animal Farm. Does anyone else feel similarly?

I ordered a box of tests online on Sunday and they arrived on Tuesday, you just need to try the web site at different times of the day.

The numbers of cases published each day are so huge that it's amazing we haven't all had it several times over!
However, it does seem that, as suspected, Omicron isn't as bad. Cases in ICUs seem to be either younger unvaccinated people or elderly people with comorbid conditions. All I can say is ??!

I ordered ltd tests from the website and they arrived yesterday. I think you have to keep checking.

Apparently, LFTs are in short supply in the USA as well. Availability seems to vary from place to place. DH has managed to find I pack in the last two weeks locally. He even has a code but to no avail.

It was expected Omicron rates would start to fall so no great surprise
The UK testing rates have not changed to any significant amount
