HVDY- hope you,ve enjoyed your first drive in the new car. It will soon feel like an old friend. Yes it was a good price for your old car - sometimes it can seem like an insult when an offer is made.
Your brother sounds a bit difficult but I guess you love him but don’t like him- that’s often the case isn’t it. Hope his op goes well though.
I love the Autumn colours too but I don’t love the fact that the spiders will be arriving indoors soon- eeek.
Doodle- sorry you have hurt your hip. Was it picking up all those little bits of tissue. There always seems too many for the size of the tissue !!
Hope DH fidgets subsided and you got a good nights sleep.
VioletSky- hope your anxiety has lessened today. It’s funny how sometimes the most routine things can trigger off those horrible feelings isn’t it. I,m glad you enjoy your job - it must be very rewarding .
Joce- I,m sorry your anxiety has been troubling you more lately. Some days are worse than others aren’t they and it exhausts you. Hope things improve soon.

Doodle. I haven't driven it yet - DH drove us home last night, so I'll drive it today. No, I was glad to see the back of the old one, it was all bashed at the back (surprised they gave me £800 for it, it was 13 years old). My brother is incredibly self-centred and always has been. I have to say, I really don't actually like him (very few do). I hope you and your DH are getting on ok and that your hip feels better soon x

HVDY I have hurt my hip. I think that’s muscular too. Surprising how muscle pain can hurt isn’t it. Glad it’s feeling a bit better. Hope you like your new car. Did you feel a little sad parting with your old one? I often do though I know it’s daft.

No, just been back at work and had a bit of an anxiety attack and ended up dizzy and faint and hot flushy trying to get ready...

How's everyone been today?

I collected my new car this evening, and left the old one in part-exchange. My brother's having his hernia operation next Tuesday and has been whittling about it (he's rang me every day for a week. Funny, he never rang my husband or me once when I was in hospital for 6 weeks. Ah well). Hope everyone has a restful night x

Doodle Yesterday, I thought I'd die of boredom! Today has been washing, hoovering, mopping, shopping, taxing and insuring my new car - I'm picking it up tomorrow teatime. It's so very annoying to find bits of tissue in the washing! My GDs are good at doing that.

Something to look forward to. Your friend must have had a real knack of dressmaking. I used to work in a fabric shop selling material for dressmaking. Loved it. My appt is tomorrow night. Thankyou.
EllieAnne Toddlers can be quite resistant to bedtimes can't they? Hope you get some sleep tonight. Seals can be difficult to spot in the sea but we once came across one basking on the beach.

HVDY I’m so glad you had an idle day. You make me feel guilty all the work you do ?
Today I have run the hoover round the place. Cleaned bathroom and kitchen. Tidied car and done washing…….I should have gone at things slower. There was a tissue in the washing machine. Everything is covered in little white bits of paper. It’s everywhere. ?. Have gone over kitchen floor 3 times and still finding bits of tissue. More haste less speed as my mum used to say,
I hope Annie is back with us soon but she’s had a nasty shock so we will support her with our kind wishes.

Ellie Anne that’s brave of you to look after your DGS on your own. A few hours during the day is one thing but overnight is a different matter. Not surprised you’re tired. Nice for his parents to have a break though. I hope they’re grateful.

Scaredycat heavy salad tipped the scales to a very high number this morning ?. Didn’t go for a walk today as I was busy cleaning and DH was sorting out paperwork and various little jobs. We were both too tired to go out.
3 miles is a good walk. DH and I used to do that but we are lucky if we can manage 2 now. Yes trousers all fixed. Not perfect but good enough.

Doodle- I like a nice ‘heavy’ salad!! Nice to walk a bit later as sometimes that is the nicest part of the day. Having said that we went out this afternoon and did 3 miles today. So good to feel able to do that at the moment. There are so many fallen leaves already it looks quite Autumnal in places.
Have you finished the belt loops now? I don’t like sewing ever since school but my best friend was wonderful .She could buy material in the morning and go out in a new dress that evening!!
HVDY- I hope your relaxed day yesterday has done you good. I bet you found lots to do today though. I went into town and had 2 separate incidents of kindness from strangers - really kind young women.
EllieAnne- it must have been nice to be with your GS though. It’s amazing how they have that second wind at night - no wonder you are tired. How wonderful to see seals - wish there was somewhere we could go to see them nearby. Hope you sleep better tonight.

Doodle I was babysitting my grandson from Saturday lunchtime till Sunday lunchtime. Son and wife were away overnight and I was very apprehensive as he’s just turned 2. I stayed in their flat so he was familiar with it. It went ok but he’s not good at night so I’m still tired.
In myself I’m very low but plodding on. Had a long walk yesterday with a friend but today haven’t walked much though been out of the house all day. Sat in the car by the sea and saw some seals.

Doodle and ScaredyCat I had a completely idle day yesterday and kept thinking I ought to have been doing something. DH is back at work today, so I'm left to my own devices (what to do?)

HVDY I bet you’re excited to be getting a new car. Always takes a while to get used to a new one. Glad you are having a bit of a rest today.
I have spent most of the afternoon trying to sew belt loops onto DHs trousers. It’s a bit like Goldilocks and the three bears, firstly a bit too big, then too small and third time lucky just the right size.?
Scaredycat I’m glad that helped. Also don’t forget in my DHs case that was over 25 years ago and techniques have made great advances since then. Hope your nephew is feeling better soon.
Went for a late walk tonight then home for a light salad, trouble is I put so much in it the light salad becomes a heavy one. Also treated ourselves to ice cream. Very naughty.

Doodle- Thank you. My nephew is in his late 40s like your DH was so that has made me feel much more hopeful. I will tell my sister.
We walked yesterday and today and it feels much more comfortable.

Doodle Thanks for letting us know about Annie. Poor Annie, she has enough to cope with, as it is. I hope she's back soon. I'm not collecting my car until Wednesday or Thursday. Available Car is going to do the 1st MOT and service, and they're taking my scrappy old car as part-exchange. I'm waiting for a replacement logbook to arrive as it was lost. I'm having a lazy day today. I hope you and your husband are getting on alright. x

Forgot to say sorry about your nephew. That’s young for a heart attack. My DH had to have triple by pass surgery in his late 40s but has been doing well since so keep your spirits up.

Scaredycat your post made me laugh. I am exactly the same. I got really upset about one of our cars but such a nice young man bought it I thought it would be ok. I’m not looking forward to parting with our current one as we’ve had it a while. The wheat bag is a good idea. With my neck problem it’s more keeping my chin up than heating it. Spondylitis is very painful.
No, no gorilla so 2 items going back for a smaller size.
We did go for a long walk today but it was so hot we were both exhausted by the time we got home. How about you did you go out too?

ScaredyCat Thanks, I'll get one of those wheat bag things. Your daughter's cat sleeps on her shoulder - bless it. We had a pet rat once that used to do that. I hope your nephew is now on the mend. It must be a worry for your sister.
