Oral Allergy Syndrome

I thought you were allergic to oral sex! ?

not quite that, but dislike strong cheese, like v mature cheddar. it causes sore pimples to erupt on the side of my tongue, within a minute or two.
usually at home as a child we only had standard mousetrap, and that's ok.
when i was about 20 at a conference i got the bad reaction. i wondered why people chose that kind pf cheese. it was only then that i realised not everyone had the same unpleasant reaction.
incidentally i was once in ireland, rathgar, and being hungry went into the only shop nearby. it was delicatessen. they had rolls, so i asked if he could construct a cheese roll. he asked which cheese. i surveyed many fancy cheeses, and became wary. oh, just mousetrap please.
he didn't know what i meant.
is that phrase not used in ireland.?
i was v impressed how he put on gloves to make it.

I've never heard of it but about five years ago I suddenly found I was allergic to kiwi fruit. I had eaten them a number of times previously, but this time my mouth burnt, my tongue started to swell and my throat got sore. Haven't touched them since. That was a short time after I first started suffering from hay fever but I had never linked the two. The hay fever has got worse every year so I definitely won't be going near any kiwi fruit.
