The title says it all really. I couldn’t find a thread about this, but ignore if it’s been discussed before.
I didn’t realise that you could buy a home testing kit for Bowel Cancer until I read an article a week or so ago.
I’ve bought kits for my 48 and 50 yr old daughters as they won’t be receiving any from the NHS for some years yet.
Very similar to the Covid test to look at but obviously you don’t swab your throat. They appear to be just as effective as the NHS ones. If you get a positive result you contact your GP as soon as you can.
As my youngest has already had cancer I figure they have nothing to lose by testing early. I will also get them for MrOops and myself when the NHS reaches our cut off age for testing kits sent through the post.
Having the Bowel Cancer kits saved me from a serious problem, I heard this year that I am no longer under the care of the Cancer unit at our Hospital, several precancerous Polyps were removed during Colonoscopies. All thanks to the Test kits.
Soops kitchen, a place of reflection, refuge and at times revelry.
