Esmay

Tooth whitening is offered locally at the beauticians as part of their special beauty package .

No way !

I wasn't thrilled with my streaky fake tan neither was my mani/pedi that impressive .

Listening to the girls chatting - I was appalled at their ignorance .

My friend's eyebrows make her look like Coco the clown .

I dread to think how they'd do tooth whitening .

Sorry Esmay, but your comment had me in stitches. And I know exactly what you mean, it is disconcerting when the beauticians night out is far more important than the service they're providing to their clients. shock.
And the tooth whitening.......I conjured up an image of a jet wash in the car park.
Note to self.......not booking that salon again.

Some high street beauticians offer quick teeth whitening when you teeth are exposed to some sort of light which as well as lightening your teeth makes them more porous and can cause major problems, so please do not use this method.

I went to my dentist to make a mould which cost about £250.00. I then buy from him twice a year tooth whitening solution in a syringe and lighten then for a few days every month or so. I am so pleased with the results and friends often comment in a positive manner. 👍 It’s worth saving up for.

DH had his done at the dentist a few years ago, with moulds and a solution to use at night. It did a good job and his teeth still look good, the whiteness does gradually fade.

Moulds not moles!

Most dentists offer a tooth whitening service. Moles of your teeth are made and then you can buy the whitening gel from them or order online.

I paid £200 about 5 years ago. You have to use the gel overnight for 2 weeks. After that once a week was enough for me. There are different strengths of gel depending how sensitive your teeth are. My teeth are quite sensitive so I use the 10% strength.

I agree Charleygirl ask your dentist purplehead

I would not touch anything like that with a barge pole It cannot do your teeth much good or your bank balance. Ask your dentist if you have any concerns and I have a feeling I know what the reply will be.

Can anyone recommend tooth whitening procedures/products
I keep getting messages from Covent Garden Zoom Whitening
and I am thinking about having this but wondering why they have to continually advertise if they are so good/popular
