Excess Deaths - 1000 per week

Extraordinary that 1000s of deaths more than could be reasonably expected going by without notice, let alone investigation.

This is a link to an excellent documentary from Channel 4. It is rather long - an hour and a half and starts telling the story of the disgraced fraudster Andrew Wakefield who was struck off the UK medical register but then went to the USA and made a lot of money by deception.

I recommend watching the whole programme but if you are only interested in the anti-covid vaccine conspirators, that is covered in the second half.

What is very clear is that the cynical manipulation of vulnerable credible people is all about huge profits for the fraudsters.

... thanks again, varian. I shall make time to watch the programme.

I can understand people wanting information on the vaccines. The trials did proceed at an unprecedented speed, but that was partly due to the existing knowledge on the Coronavirus - and the unparalleled funding, and huge numbers of volunteers, let's not forget. And not because some deep state, shady body, was attempting to control the world's population by planting a micro-chip under the skin to track and programme them! If anyone knows anything about data-mining and modern technology, they should know that this happens anyway... search for an item that you want to buy on Google and before you know it, adverts will appear for that item as you peruse online! The majority of websites we visit are tracking us, and the most basic way of identifying you is via your IP address - no need for personal micro-chips!
Conspiracy theories appear to be held by the extremes of Left and Right who don't seem to understand that the world is always in a state of constant change, but that doesn't align with their way of thinking. So any event in this complex world of ours that doesn't line up is dismissed as a 'false-flag', or, as a certain ex POTUS used to say, "fake noos"...

It was extremely hot. That won't have helped. Also the Queen dying will have upset and unsettled a lot of older people.
And of course its so difficult to see a GP. Waits in A&E and increased cost of living. Many factors causing this.

Thanks for the links, varian.

I've been wandering around the ZeroHedge website mentioned in the article about Bridgen... hmm

... very Ayn Rand.

Tory MP Andrew Bridgen loses whip over ‘dangerous’ Covid vaccine claims

'Mind-boggling ignorance':

Holocaust survivor criticises Andrew Bridgen's vaccine remarks

A retired immunologist who survived Nazi concentration camps has criticised a Tory MP who compared COVID vaccines with the Holocaust.

Probably would have been clearer if I said unnecessary insults.

... usually - or should I say, not infrequently, - anti-vaxxers accuse the vaccinated of being "sheeple" and urge us to "wake up" (in CAPITALS mostly). And when asked for their evidence (of whatever insult they believe is being perpetrated on the general public), we are told to "do your own research".

At least Usernametaken held back on the insults and simply demanded that we STOP IT NOW! grin

From what I can gather, quite a few people have concerns about the vaccine's side effects, and it's not at all unreasonable to be uneasy because there are reports of damaging effects on a few individuals. But I think the biggest "crime" was committed by the government being ill prepared; Johnson missing 5 initial COBRA meetings; being too late off the starting blocks; and elderly people being pitchforked into care homes.
... and now he, Boris Johnson, is back on the scene via the Carlton Club urging the Party to select him as their leader once again to lead them to victory in the next election, belittling Starmer... but not a word about the crisis that is on so many people's minds - the failing and flailing NHS. Nor the current high death toll.

New evidence confirms that fewer people die in better vaccinated communities

Name calling, where ???

Namsnanny Fri 13-Jan-23 20:28:16

Shouty caps. Yes, I agree, not neccessary. Not something I would do.
But I wasn't defending that poster or their style.

Varian ...do stop deriding those who disagree with you.
It's so anti democratic, not to say childish.

Have your point of view. Express it by all means, but leave off the name calling please.

I don't think anyone really opposes differing opinions.

But if someone claims that a crime is being - or has been - committed, some factual information, citation, or reference is kind of expected, no?

I also have some misgivings about the side effects - known side-effects, possible ones, and those attributed to the vaccine, but wouldn't demand in shouty capitals that the vaccine be stopped without having some firm evidence to back up that demand. It's a bit like being hit over the head by a placard! And it's hard to give due respect to that kind of 'argument'.

Anyway, I didn't see any name-calling.

Namsnanny Fri 13-Jan-23 19:28:16

Sorry forgot 🤣🤣🤣🤣

varian Fri 13-Jan-23 19:27:40

Thought so. Thanks for confirming it.

Yes

varian Fri 13-Jan-23 19:26:07

Is this a message from The Daily Express?

Watching the covid vaccine damage play out in real time is one of the most depressing crimes I’ve ever had to witness. Peoples lives destroyed for a useless jab that was either about profit, or a mass experimental disastrous trial. STOP THE COVID VACCINE NOW!

varian Fri 13-Jan-23 09:44:43

There is never going to be an electoral system which can guarantee it will keep out idiots but there do seem to be far too many idiots, with harmful crazy ideas, in the House of Commons, especially in the Tory Party.

We desperately need root and branch constitutional reform.

How would FPTP stop idiots being elected though varian? It wouldn’t.

I think the excess deaths are down to multiple factors, I don’t know if it’s happening in England too, but in Wales there’s a big campaign going on now to avoid delayed diagnosis, because one of the known factors for excess deaths here is people not going to the doctor soon enough when they have serious symptoms, particularly cancer symptoms, exacerbated in the pandemic.

Sorry, I’ve done it again - I meant how would PR stop idiots being elected? As I’ve mentioned before, we have PR in Wales, and ended up with Neil Hamilton as the UKIP regional member for my constituency under the PR system, it was embarrassing to say the least.

Awful Bridgen has also been blaming the vaccine and has had the whip taken off him.

They said they took the whip off him because his comments were anti semitic though. I don’t think they mention his accusations regarding the vaccine. He is a vile man.

varian Thu 12-Jan-23 19:13:13

Andrew Bridgen is a clueless impressionable idiot. He is also a fanatical extreme brexiter. How on earth did he ever get selected by the Cons, then elected by his constituents????

How much more evidence do we need to conclude that our corrupt and absurd FPTP system of electing MPs is ridiculous and must be changed?
