Painful corn between toes

I think you might have to look at your shoes and socks to see if you are getting unnecessary pressure. I go barefoot a lot to try to stop the build up on one particularly oddly placed corn. Ultimately though my feet are getting more and more misshapen through arthritis and age and its hard to avoid pressure. Hope it gets better for you.

I have that type of corn too but treat it myself now and then with a medicated corn plaster. I have to be careful to cover the surrounding area with a plaster with a hole in it first, as the skin there is quite thin and the chemical in the plaster can burn it as well as the corn. It's rather awkward to do, but if I get the corn plaster on, and leave it for more than a week, including getting wet when I shower, the corn can be peeled off. Sometimes it needs a second treatment to get it all, but after that it will be gone for months - even up to a year.

I don't know why I get this kind of corn - I don't have any in the usual places on top of toes. I always wear comfortable shoes that don't rub, but this corn between toes is annoying.

Have you tried soaking your feet in Epsom salts? ( it’s what they recommend on the Greyhounds with corns Facebook page!). I do sympathise. I have a corn on the outside of my little toe next to the nail. I’ve had it for over 40 years. It appeared after I’d been wearing some beautifully soft leather shoes. They were like wearing kid gloves on my feet but because of it they were tight fitting. I’ve had it taken out by a chiropodist but it just comes back so now I just cut it out with scissors. The only way to get rid of a corn is to remove any pressure but that’s impossible if it’s between your toes.

Have you asked Amazon? They have something to cure or relieve most things.

I have a corn on the inside of my little toe, it is extremely painful and makes walking difficult. I very rarely wear socks and shoes, spend my day in flip flops and still I get corns.
I have an electric manicure tool which I use to take the surface off the corn which gives very brief respite.

Would a gel toe separator be any help? They are easy to obtain, inexpensive and comfortable to wear.

I find temporary relief by placing a bit of crushed aspirin on wet cotton wool and positioning it directly on the corn.

My husband had a corn like this. He had tried all the home remedies, including toe separators. He went to see a chiropodist who made him a "made to measure" toe separator out of something rubbery that set in situ. He went back a couple of times at 3 monthly intervals, and eventually, the corn just disappeared.

I wonder if Glenfinnan found relief from this corn problem since it was at the beginning of 2023 when the question was asked.

The toe separators come in a variety of styles. Look on Amazon, they are inexpensive.I wear them all the time as I have very arthritic mis-shapen feet.
