I used to have awful problems getting to sleep, but now I get to sleep really easily listening to Jennifer Piercy's Yoga Nidra for Sleep.

I like the Insight Timer app for other guided meditations and try to do one every morning as well as at night.

I think setting a bedtime routine is good.

If I have trouble sleeping it is because I am thinking and planning. Not stressed but enjoyable thinking but too much thinking nevertheless.

So I concentrate on my breathing and absolutely refuse to let my brain go back to thinking. Always works.

If you sleep alone so have no sleeping partner to disturb, try listening to Radio 4 on BBC i-player.

Choose a program of appropriate length, so it might be a fifteen minute talk or even the first episode of a serial which could run for three hours.

Set the volume quite low so you have to concentrate fairly hard to follow it.

You will almost certainly drift off to sleep before the end.

I take Valerian Plus By Nutri Vital (available in the UK) plus 1 Nytol (not the herbal Nytol but the other one)

Taking these 2 gives me about 8 hours of good sleep.

I have relentless insomnia and would welcome any recommendations I seem to have tried lots of things.
