Pain in Buttock.

Just that really. For the last few days, have had a pain in my left buttock. More of a ‘pull’ when walking. Not all the time, and yesterday, thought it was a lot better, but when I got up this morning, it seemed really painful and my leg felt it might give way. After moving about a bit, much better.

Don’t know if I’ve pulled something, or a touch of sciatica? Can remember my dad having sciatica many years ago, but the pain went down his leg also.

Hope it improves soon.

Sounds a bit like Gluteal Tendonopathy, I had it for ages. If it persists see your GP.

Sounds a lot like sciatica - an osteopath should be able to sort it for you.

Hope you feel better soon.

I agree, more likely to be coming from your back. Visit your GP for a proper diagnosis rather than spending money on an osteopath.

or stress on the sacro-iliac joint. It can go on its own accord- or not. I have an amazing massage thereapist, who understands acupressure and meridians, and manages to sort it out quickly when it happens, with excercises for me to do too.

Due to a can accident when I was young- I have a leg about 1 inch shorther than the other, and 2 artificial knees- so I have to be very careful to always keep in balance.

Try the piriformis stretch, that might help. You should be able to find it with a Google search.

You can usually self refer to NHS physiotherapy

Yes, it can help. But it can also make it worse. So professional advice is required.
