Hives (urticaria) after COVID booster

I have never had allergies of any kind until one year ago, aged 74, I started getting hives in random parts of body; these are now resistant to anti histamines; the side effects of steroid treatment as an alternative treatment scare me a bit e.g. puffy face. Is anybody else suffering this horrible condition.? I know it's not life threatening, but really getting me down.

I have been on and off steroids for all of my adult life. The side effects are bothersome, but not as bad as the conditions they are being used to treat.

The actually saved my life at one point. One has to weigh up everything. I now have osteoporosis due to long term use, but as I have said, I had no choice.

I hope you find some relief.

I don't know about the treatment apart from trying to keep cool but if you go for another vaccination you better tell them as an allergy can cause swelling in your mouth and airways not just the skin.
