Think of others and do something kind or thoughtful everyday day, even for a stranger.

Swim as much as you can. One of the finest forms of exercise to keep you mobile in old age.

A walk every day

Goodness shysal I missed the daily cold shower - cold or cool!
That may be one I avoid.

PS I don't find the series 'smug' - in fact I find it helpful.
I think if I found it smug I'd not listen smile But anyway my question was tapping shared wisdom here.

Thanks for the laugh, Maw 😂

One of MM's suggestions that I haven't taken up is a daily cold shower! However I do walk every morning, eat a balanced diet and drink an Actimel Immune System yoghurt.

I agree with walk every day.

Norah Mon 13-Feb-23 16:15:55

Walk. As far, as often, as many times per day as one can.

(Could you guess that I hate Michael Mosley’s smug “Just one thing” series?)

MawtheMerrier Mon 13-Feb-23 16:12:02

Just don’t attempt to open a window in an aeroplane.

Such sensible and helpful small things, aren't they.
Do keep them coming.

Michael Mosley also suggested a glass of red wine once or twice a week, but then added if you don't drink at all then don't!

Watch your weight.

I’ve put walnuts, Brazil’s and almonds in a container on my bookcase. It reminds me to eat one small handful every day for selenium etc.

'me time' once a day, even if it's only for 5 minutes.

Theexwife Mon 13-Feb-23 15:24:23

Go for a walk.

Good hydration

I enjoy Dr Michael Mosley’s Radio 4 programme ‘Just One Thing’. For those who don’t know it he suggests one thing to do to make a difference to our health and well being.

For example - an apple a day, brushing teeth twice a day...
Simple obvious yes, but good common sense and interesting.

I see a lot of wisdom here on Gransnet.

That leads me to ask have you ‘Just one thing’
to suggest to enhance health and well being?
