Does anyone have experience with these creams/ointments? Have been prescribed a cream for a ?blood blister from GP who is not sure if this is what it is and recommends i use cream for 2wks and if problem still persists will refer to dermatologist

Should add that I always seem to have a 'hives' looking rash on chest but on my one arm have a peculiar looking white itchy raised ?lesion which has now turned red..bit worrying..

Bea could you post a photo of it ? May know what it is. I am not anything medical but had lot of health problems.

I get blood blisters in my mouth they just go by themselves.

[Whiff] hope this works🤞

I am not medically qualified but I do have several seborrheic keratosis 'spots' and that photo looks suspiciously like one of those.
I have also never heard of putting ointments on blood blisters either.

The GP could have sent a photo to the dermatologist; that seems to be the usual way of referrals for skin conditions now.

Initially this was a stubborn dry itchy patch had for months and turned red last weekend so was a bit of a shock - haven’t knocked this area at all🙁

Bea is it itchy, sore and burning and has it gotten bigger?

MayBee70 Sun 19-Feb-23 11:33:07

What cream is it?

JaneJudge Sun 19-Feb-23 11:34:03

what was you putting on it when it was itchy?

Whiff Sun 19-Feb-23 11:36:58

Bea this is my leg few couple of weeks ago . It was cellulitis and had to have a 7 day course of antibiotics which cleared it up.

Callistemon21 Sun 19-Feb-23 11:47:09

I've had cellulitis which presented differently to Whiff's. It was a red patch with a definite edge, which spread fairly quickly. Cellulitis does need treatment with antibiotics urgently.

GP prescribed Trimovate and measured it..doesn't really itch now but did when it was off-white/scaley..

Bea65 Sun 19-Feb-23 13:37:59

Was using E45 cream ..then started using Arnica as do have sensitive dry skin..

Whiff Sun 19-Feb-23 14:12:10

Bea did your GP look at your arm? Arnica cream is to treat bruises. If you have dry sensitive use Dermol 500 lotion comes in a pump action bottle. I had jaundice 2017 and the dermatologist prescribed it been using it ever since even on my face .

Bea65 Sun 19-Feb-23 15:26:59

[Whiff] yes i had a face to face with GP and have another appt face to face (Thank Goodness 2 March) but if it gets bigger within this timeframe to phone surgery .. Arnica is used to hydrate and soothe and fragrance free so have used it on face and arms..and have had no flare ups - are you in UK or, as hadn't heard it was to treat bruises but suppose it wouldn't do harm?

Whiff Sun 19-Feb-23 16:06:52

Bea I live in the north west of England. Arnica cream I always use on bruises my daughter told me about it as it heals the bruise quicker and it works. I am on blood thinners so bruise easier.

Whiff Sun 19-Feb-23 16:10:13

Bea this what I use on my bruises.

Bea65 Sun 19-Feb-23 18:47:46

Seems to be same product with different description of uses

Whiff Sun 19-Feb-23 20:35:32

Bea that is strange if you research Arnica cream it says treatment for bruises .
