I am severely allergic to pollen, dust, pet hairs etc etc.
The hay fever can cause asthma if not controlled.
I take fexofenadine every day as well as a nasal spray and eye drops.
Without the prescription medication I could not function.
I suggest you try different meds or have the injection.

Last summer whilst on holiday my husband was really suffering. We brought some Allevia one a day tablets from Boots worked like a dream

I have hay fever, and my allergy is caused by birch pollen, so at least my symptoms tend to be limited to April and May. The worst experience I had was when I worked in Sweden for 3 years. So many birch trees that when it rained during the season, the puddles had a yellow film of pollen on them. What a state I was in. I went to our Doctor, presented my tablets, nasal spray and eye drops, and as he could clearly see they weren't working, gave me a steroid injection that afternoon. By the following morning I was hay-fever clear, and it lasted me through the season. Not recommended as a regular treatment though, as steroids do have some serious side effects. Funny how hay fever seemed much less prevalent back in the 50's when I was a child. We had one woman in our street who "famously" had it.. Mrs. Newham.. yet it seems to be everywhere now.

For one of my offspring centreline works but for the other one has to use the other drug that I can’t remember the name of. I dare say you have tried everything, I’m really sorry I can’t help but do commiserate.

I use Cetirizine tablets, eye drops and a nasal spray and yet I have bad Hay Fever. I had 3 months Fexafanadine 280 mg so quite strong fir 3 moths, they upset my stomach so I reverted back to Cetrizine but again although the symptoms not quite as severe taking them my eyes still really itch, my time my eyes look as if they are sunk in black holes. I finally managed to see a doctor, from across the table, he never examined my eyes, he said ‘oh it’s Hay Fever alright” basically I have to put up with it. It’s absolutely miserable, it’s 24/7 and I have it all through the year so no respite. Last night it woke my up, I bathed my eyes in warm boiled water, then lay with compresses over both eyes.
Does anyone have Hay Fever so severe and if so how do you get respite please?
