If I decide to have it, I would be asking for the Shingrix vaccine which has to be given in 2 doses but is apparently usually recommended for people with reduced immune systems.

My husband had that last Autumn

I have Graves disease too which is an autoimmune condotion so it's difficult when you are wary of things setting it off

Sorry to derail the post. My French doctor finally, after many years of asking, prescribed the Shingles vaccination but unfortunately my pharmacy says there is non available as the German laboratory has stopped making it. Zostavax. Has anyone had any success finding another make?

I havent had the shingles vaccine but I have fibro and have had flu and COVID vaccines with no issue

My questions would be, are you prone to shingles? If you got shingles would it worsen those conditions? If so would the vaccine worsen them less because it's a smaller immune response than the condition itself?

COVID did cause a bit of a flare up but so does any cold flu with the extra aches and pains being magnified

Could perhaps speak to your pharmacist? They’ll hopefully be well informed.

Has anyone who has ME/CFS and/or Fibromyalgia had the Shingles vax, and if so, how did you get on? Did it cause an ME relapse?

I'm juggling 10 different conditions including ME and Fibro, and want to have the Shingles vax but I've struggled all year with an ME relapse and don't want to make it worse. Impossible to speak to a doctor about it sadly.
