Some weeks ago I posted about my sensitive/irritable bladder.
For some years I have suffered really badly, I can go to the loo every 10 minutes sometimes.

My GP was no help, I do use Ovestin/Estoril twice weekly but this seems not to make any difference.

I decided before I hit 60 (last month) I would try and sort this problem.

I did the research and kept a food diary, the main culprits are; raw chilli, strawberries, raw tomatoes, caffeinated tea, gin and tonic.

The difference it has made is immense, I hiked for hours last week with no bush stops, I only wake once in the night (previously 4/5).

I wish I had addressed it earlier but hey ho!

If any of you have the same issue, it’s really worth looking at your diet!

Diet is responsible for so many health problems.
Did you do an elimination diet?

I agree PamelaJ1
As soon as I have anything wrong, I look up what foods are good and which are bad.

Well done Sago for figuring it out.
It took me a whole year to figure out my migraines. I was hardly getting over one before getting another. I had to do something.
So I began a food diary. It turned out to be fatty food in general for me, with a few things in particular.
Once I cut most of it out, migraines became far less frequent, I was able to slowly reintroduce fatty foods until I was left with about three.
Now I am back to normal with what I eat.

Well done for sorting it out. With me it was a combination of vaginal atrophy and caffeine. If I go anywhere now I stick to decaffeinated drinks. I think the problem is these things creep up on you, getting gradually worse until they just become a way of life. My migraines were caused by anything acidic eg orange juice and sleeping in on a weekend ( I never had one on workdays). I wish I could turn the clock back though and relive those years without the problems.

Yes, I would definitely agree to keeping a food diary for a few weeks/months. It certainly helped me realise I was intolerant to any form of beans. With urine it is also worth watching the weather and temperature. I find I need to go more early autumn as I don't need so much liquid after the summer until I adjust my liquid intake.

To Sago’s list I’d add citrus fruits, even something with lemon flavouring can set me off. Also, surprisingly perhaps, camomile tea. Agree about caffeinated tea but had to give up coffee for ibs reasons and just can’t take that final step, my diet is bland enough already.
