allergy to face creams

I have a skin condition called Urticaria (common name Hives)
I have allergies to creams and unknown products. Heat, food, medications it goes on and on. Main problem is once it starts I get it for 6 to 8 weeks and the itching is a nightmare.
I use like people have mentioned the E45 group of products and simple products.
Avoid products which have the same ingredients as the ones you are having problems with.
Just because you have used a product for years doesn't mean you wont become allergic to it.
I've had my condition for 60 years I am under the hospital for it, they prescribe my medication.

Child’s Farm products are lovely and were created by a mother whose child had skin problems. No nasties in them!

Allergenics creams are excellent, too.

😁 I will let you know BUT it is right up her street and wasn’t too expensive,have the two creams. I think they were 60 mil each and gift wrapping and delivery for I think it was £30..💐

I use a product i buy online. The company is called Pure Nuff Stuff www.purenuffstuff.co.uk/products/Unscented-daily-face-cream-UK.

Their site lists the 'dirty dozen' of chemicals that are in most mainstream face creams and cause problems and which they do not use.

After a lot of problems with products irritating my skin, this is the product for me.

Thanks for that Monica,myself, not particularly fussy with face creams I use but my daughter is so I have just ordered her the day cream and the night cream for part of her birthday present which is on July 7th..😁

I have a sensitive face and have used Nivea Creme in the blue pot for as long as I can remember.

My doctor advised E45 cream for eczemz prone skin and sensitive skin in general. It's not very glamorous but keeps the skin well hydrated.

I to have had the same problem, I went to Dr's years ago he told me I was allergic to lanolin. So I tried Liz Earle and now I swear by it, I would not use anything else
I have very dry sensitive skin. Hope this helps, good luck finding your cream.

My facial skin is very sensitive, and I have Rosacea as well. I use Simple facewash, but find their moisturiser thin so I use a bit of it in the morning, and Cerave at night,

I had this problem too, while my face was reacting I switched to Simple and then slowly started to use the new cream every other day and now I can use it all the time.

Most of the 'mass market' creams contain a preservative (there are different ones - google it). For years, Ponds didn't, then introduced it and lots of people got problems!
So, I would head for Simple - or ask the pharmacist, as Oreo says.
You're probably only sensitive to one or two of them. If it's a big issue (as it is with me) try contacting Customer Service at a brand you'd like to try, and ask for a sample. They are usually very good.
I use green / ethical skincare products, partly because of this and partly for ethical reasons. They are not cheap, but are one of my 'luxuries'.
If you get really stuck, mix some rosewater with glycerin - my nan's trick got me through for many years!

I have this problem and use the creams that soothe eczema. I like Double bass but there are others available. They are rich creams and keep my face moist and smooth

Just last year I got this prob with face creams and until then had used any old face cream with no ill effects.On the advice of a friend I bought Nivea Soft and have used that on face and neck which seems to have solved it.
First of all I asked my pharmacist about it and he sold me a tube of gubbins, Boots Dermacare which cleared up the rash and irritation, then after that I used the Nivea Soft.

Have you tried Simple products? I've got sensitive skin and never had a problem with those.
