Has anyone been referred for this recently if so what did it entail? I have been told very little details apart from a walking exercise. Thanks in advance for any information that might inform me of what to expect.

Hello
Is this the 6 - 8 week course?
If so, my DH has completed this and found it extremely useful.
It consisted of various exercises.
Apologies if I am on completely the wrong track (wouldn't be the first time) grin

I believe it is about an eight week course arranged at the local health centre. I am going to ring the local respiratory clinic and ask some questions as after months of illness and tests I have been told it’s asthma. Thanks for responding it’s very much appreciated.

My husband has been referred, via his doctor, onto a six week course of pulmonary rehabilitation, two hours twice a week. He is being put through his paces with mobility improvement. After initial assessment - the first hour is concentrating on exercise to help strengthen legs and improve posture. The second hour is information relating to medical conditions ie, COPD, Asthma, etc and the benefits of exercise etc. It is beneficial to help him cope with his current conditions and importance of exercises he can do at home ideally. I don’t realistically see him continuing with these exercises once the course has finished, but it depends on the determination of the patient.
