I am booked in for flu and Covid together. Been a bit anxious about having both at the same time. Good to know you had no side effects Aldom, that has reassured me. Wouldn't dream of not taking advantage of vaccination! We are very fortunate indeed to be offered it.
Some of my friends have told me they are not going to bother having a Covid booster - why on earth not !? Have they forgotten what happened 😦

No justification for it? What gives you that idea when the latest is a real killer? I had my Covid jab last week and will be first in the queue no matter how often it is offered.

I will go early next month for my flu jab. I am so grateful it is all on their NHS.

We are having ours on Saturday, I wasn’t overly keen but I am vulnerable so it would be stupid if me not to have it.

Thank you for reminding me . I’ve just booked mine for next week

My husband had to have it (terminal Cancer) so I need it too .
God forbid that we have to isolate or shield again , but I wouldn't put him at further risk .

I should have said, I am grateful that the NHS is on the ball and looking after me and my family.

Having an operation in 3 weeks - having my covid jab tomorrow. Would have had it anyway, but hospital recommended that I have it done.

I am due to have both 'flu and Covid vaccinations. I'm immunocompromised and will take every precaution to lessen the effects.

Covid hasn't gone away and it's not as some people are saying, just a cold. For people like me it can be fatal.
I really don't agree with the comment, No justification for it.
In fact, I cannot understand why anyone would think that
My DD, DIL and SIL have already had both on the advice of clinicians, to try and keep me safe.
My son will have both next week.

It's a no brainer!

Dead keen to have mine, as I am for vaccinations generally. It’s booked for next week, and my flu jab for later in October.

greenlady102 Wed 27-Sept-23 12:28:20

not reluctant at all why would you not be keen to say protected?

Tenko Wed 27-Sept-23 12:24:46

I will probably have it. Covid is still around . I’ve had covid about 18 months ago after having the vax and had minimal symptoms. I’ve had far worse colds . I also care for my mum , so added incentive for not getting really ill.

Well I had my Covid booster and flu jab on Monday. I'm thankful for the opportunity to lessen the effects of either virus, should I contract them again. No side effects. I'm eighty +

Yes I feel much the same way lizzieb no real justification for it. I'm not ruling it out definitely though.

Anyone else reluctant to have another Covid booster? Have had them all up to now but just not keen on having another one!
